Color Club Fall 2014 Seven Deadly Sins Collection Swatches & Review

I wasn’t planning on posting this until later this week, but when I did a sneak peak on my Instagram and Facebook and people were PM’ing me asking when it will be up, I decided to push it up quicker!  I didn’t realize people were waiting on swatches.

The Color Club Fall 2014 Collection brings us the Seven Deadly Sins and this is a 7 piece, lightly textured, matte glitter set.  All 7 do have a texture to them, but they are incredibly light and doesn’t have that “I might snag my pantyhose with these” type feeling.

So lets jump right in!

Obsessed

Obsessed

Obsessed is a deep navy blue base with real and blue glitters sparkling within. I used 2 coats and no top coat.  Texture is very light.

Fierce

Fierce

Fierce is a deep vampy burgundy base with purple and copper glitters in it.  I used 2 coats for these photos.  Very lightly textured.

You’re So Vain

Youre So Vain

You’re So Vain was one of my favorite colors, but one of the worst formulas.  This is a deep, gorgeous purple base with gold, copper and purple glitters mixed in.  This is a very light texture, but the consistency was on the thicker side.  It wasn’t impossible to apply, but I can see some having trouble with it.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Under Your Spell

Under Your Spell

Under Your Spell was another favorite for me.  This is a metallic lilac purple base with gold and purple micro glitters and small lilac and purple hex glitters.  I used 2 coats, and despite the hex glitters, this was still a pretty tame texture.

Friends With Benefits

Friends With Benefits is a metallic lavender base with lavender micro glitters and small hex glitters mixed in.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Dirty Money

Dirty Money

Dirty Money is a lighter gold texture with gold micro glitters and small hex glitters.  This is probably the grittiest of the textures of the 7.  It still wasn’t too severe, but this has the most obvious texture and would probably be the hardest to cover up with top coat to smooth out.  I used 2 coats for these photos.  The consistency was on the thicker side as well, so it can be tricky to apply.

Indulge Me

Indulge Me

Indulge Me probably surprised me the most.  It’s a great Fall texture and has a coppery base with copper micro glitter and sparks of holo bits in it.  It was really faint and fairly hard to photograph, but it was a nice surprise to see the little sparks of color.  This was a light texture.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Overview

If you love textures, this is a fun set to add to your collection.  There are some new texture shades that I don’t currently have, and with the added bonus of having very mild textures to be able to wear.  All of these except Dirty Money and Under Your Spell can easily be smoothed out with 1 coat of a nice, thick top coat if you aren’t a texture lover (or just want to smooth it), otherwise the 2 mentioned would probably need 2 coats for a smooth finish.

Dirty Money and You’re So Vain had thicker consistencies so those may take some care in applying, but overall this was a pretty good collection!

I must say I’m not fond of this kind of textured polish. But I have a feeling the first three you showed would look amazing top coated!

I am SO glad you got these swatches up, I’ve been looking everywhere for them. haha! :) The first two remind me of the textures from L’Oreal (but of course, I can’t remember their names. LOL!). You’re So Vain and Dirty Money are probably my favorites, but I also like Fierce. Thank you for the swatches!

Holy moly. I need these. I’m a fan of textured polishes so the fact that they have that “softer” matte appearance really appeals to me! Your swatches are gorgeous! No wonder people were pm’ing yoU!!

I love this type of polish. It’s PixieDust-ish. I am a matte girl, so I geek when I see anything matted. Great swatches and it’s a nice change from the usual holo that comes from Color Club!

I’m not a fan of textured polishes but these are probably gorgeous with topcoat. I would definitely give Under Your Spell and Obsessed a shot!

From far away I thought I was going to love these, but I just am not a fan of how these look textured! I would probably love them with top coat, though. Either way, great swatches!
