Celestial Cosmetics & Color4Nails Bon Temps Collection Swatches & Review

Celestial Cosmetics and Color4Nails have teamed up for yet another collaboration collection!  The last one was a Summer collection and it was HOT!  This time around they did a True Blood inspired collection named Bon Temps!

I was excited when I heard about the collection initially because I am a True Blood fan, but I was especially a fan of the first 3 seasons, after that it was hit or miss for me, but overall – I liked and followed the show.

This set of 6 polishes are all perfect for Fall and Winter.  They are blackened bases with gorgeous blackened bases, shimmer and subtle color shifts.

Lets take a look!

The First Taste

The First Taste t

The First Taste is a blackened base with blue to purple shimmer and glass flecks.  Probably my favorite of the 6.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Sparks Fly Out

Sparks Fly Out

Sparks Fly Out is similar to The First Taste, but the blue shimmer overpowers the purple shift, and The First Taste is the other way around.  The blue shimmer is also lighter and closer to a turquoise to purple shifting shimmer, but it does have the same gorgeous glass flecks all in a blackened base.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Death Is Not The End

Death Is Not The End

Death Is Not The End is a cerulean to purple shift.  Photos are so difficult to show that the 3 blue to purple shaded shifters ARE actually different, but they are.

The shimmer is more intense in Death Is Not The End in comparison to The First Taste and Sparks Fly Out, and less glass flecks.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

I figured this was the easiest way to show the differences in these 3!

Soul Of Fire

Soul Of Fire

Soul Of Fire is a blackened base with gorgeous deep plum to gold shimmer shift and glass flecks. The shift is VERY subtle.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Release Me

Release Me

Release Me is the darkest of the set.  It is a deep golden green shimmer with a subtle dark blurple shift and glass fleck mix in a blackened base.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Night On The Sun is a pretty blackened base with dark green and gold shimmer with a subtle deep blue shift and glass flecks.  I used 2 coats for these photos.

Overview

Whether you are a True Blood fan or not, this is a great collection if you like deep shades.  I love darker shades this time of year, and the addition of color shifting shimmer and glass flecks makes them stand out in my collection.

Application was great and all 6 shades were completely opaque in just 2 coats.

These kind of remind me of that A-England collection where all the polishes were blackened bases… But they all kind of just looked black. The kind of collection where you could pick a fave, but not have to own them all. Soul on Fire would be my pick.

They are all dark, but you can definitely tell they aren’t all black. The photos show that colored shimmer comes through
