butter LONDON Spring Dotticure

I shared this on my Facebook page the other day, but decided to write up a post as well!

On Easter I did an Easter mani, which looked like this:

Easter

Real quick  – color breakdown –  Index Finger: stripes are butter LONDON Fruit Machine, main color is BL Fiver, Dots are Kerfuffle and Molly Coddled and the Bow, which is a Revlon Stencil, is Jasper.  Middle Finger: Base is Fruit Machine , dots are Jasper, Fiver and a random blue art pen.  Ring Finger: BL Jasper, Zoya Purity, Black nail art pen and Zoya Arizona for beak.  Pinkie – you are about to learn that one in this post. I topped it all off with Matte Finish Top Coat by butter LONDON.

I loved the pinkie design so I decided I wanted to do a full mani just like that!  Here it is:

Little bit closer view:

Kerfuffle

For the base I used butter LONDON Kerfuffle (I love the name of this one).  Then I got my dotting tools out (I purchased mine for a few dollars on Amazon, but if you don’t have any, bobby pins also work well!) and I started with 3 dots of butter LONDON Fiver (pastel minty green) on each finger.  I tried to make the dots uniform on each finger.  Then I got out Molly Coddled (pastel purple) and made 5 more dots.  Afterwards I used Jasper (pastel yellow) and made 4 dots from that.  I topped the whole mani off with Matte Finish Top Coat by butter LONDON.  I waited about 20 minutes to apply Matte Finish so I wouldn’t smear the dots!

This is fun and bright for Spring!  I don’t do a lot of nail art, so dotticures are perfect for someone like me (who can’t draw).  I usually make all my mani’s glossy, but these colors really pop with a Matte top coat!

If you are looking for any of the colors I used, head on over to butter LONDON Website.  All of these colors are part of the butter LONDON Spring 2013 line and retail for $15.00

Hope everyone has a wonderful week and I’m hoping to have more time to do some more dotticures in the next few weeks!
