Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer May 2017 Releases

Press Sample

I have been busy swatching away all weekend so far, and tonight I have the Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer May 2017 Releases to share with you! This post will contain the 3 Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer releases as well as the Destination Duo made with Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish.

We’re going to start off with the 3 Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer shades which are all in the blue color family. This is a much smaller release, but we’re also celebrating Blue Eyed Girl Lacquers 4th Birthday!

Let’s jump right in

On B-Days We Wear Blue

On B-Days We Wear Blue is a bright blue creme base with green to purple duochrome shifting microflakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The blue creme base is a touch darker in person than my photos show.

Morning Star

Morning Star is a navy blue jelly base packed with black holographic microglitters, blue holo glitters in various sizes, yellow matte glitters and matte yellow mini stars. I used 2 coats and a thick, glossy top coat for these photos.

If you are working with a thinner top coat, I do suggest 2 coats for a squishy, smooth finish.

This polish was inspired by Van Gogh’s The Starry Night.

Luminous Matter

Luminous Matter is a dusty indigo scattered holographic with silver ultra holo microglitters, green to purple duochrome shimmer and aqua to green to blue to purple ultrachrome shift.  The shifts were very subtle for the camera, but slightly more noticeable in person.  I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Destination Duo

Next up is the Destination Duo with Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish! When purchasing this set you’ll receive both polishes as well as a packet of glitter!

Below is the inspiration picture for this duo:

Julie took this photo of the color changing fountains in Trafalgar Square in London.

Now let’s see the polishes!

Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish – Light in the Dark

Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish Light in the Dark is a bright pink creme with turquoise shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer – Mermaids In London

Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer Mermaids In London is a bright red jelly base with rose gold and ruby red metallic flakes with ultra holo flakes mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Glitter

Each purchase of the Destination Duo will also receive a bag of nail art glitter with various shapes within.

Ok, overall – absolutely no complaints! Everything applied nicely. Morning Star did contain a lot of glitter, so I do recommend watching how much glitter your brush picks up to avoid any pile ups on the nail. Otherwise, everything was done nicely.

Along with these shades, Julie will be releasing a few older polishes as well.

Both Morning Star and Luminous Matter will be BEGL group exclusives, so be sure to request access to the BEGL fan group on Facebook in order to grab those.

My personal top picks for this set: Luminous Matter and the Destination Duo

Price: $8.50 – $12.00 Each Full Size | $5.00 – $6.00 Each Mini Size | $20.00 Destination Duo

Release Date: May 31st at 3:30 PM EST
