Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer has several treats in store for everyone tomorrow! There will be a final restock of the Fan Favorites Collection plus a few more Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer August 2016 Releases & Destination Duo for August 2016 with Aliquid Lacquer!
I already showed you the Fan Favorites Collection, so in this post I will be showing you the Destination Duo with Aliquid Lacquer as well as overpours from the Teal Color Box, May Magic 8 Box and a new Siren!
Let’s jump right in. We’ll start with the overpours and Siren and then move onto the Destination Duo!
Wash Away What’s Past
Wash Away What’s Past is from the May Magic 8 Box. Wash Away Those Years is a deeper taupe crelly scattered holographic with gold and pink shimmer mixed in. The flash of pink is GORGEOUS! I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Merman, Pops, MerMAN
Merman, Pops, MerMAN is from the Teal Color Box and was created with Starlight On My Mind. This is a bright teal with strong copper to gold shimmer and blue/teal/violet color shifting flakies, I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Siren’s Curtain Call
This one makes me sad. Not the color, but the name and reason.
This will be the last monthly Siren in the Siren series. This polish celebrates her 2 years of activity and now retirement. So after this, no more Siren’s will be released. I have several over the last 2 years and have really enjoyed them.
Siren’s Curtain Call is an aqua jelly packed with silver ultra holo microglitters, copper shimmer, and gold, pink, and purple microflakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. It does dry down with a texture, so you might need 2 coats of top coat to completely smooth it over.
Now we’ll look at the Destination Duo created with Aliquid Lacquer! This duo was based off of the photo below.
Alison of Aliquid Lacquer took this photo while in Venice. The Destination Duo will be available in both shops, and I’ll have those links in the info section at the end of this post.
August 2016 Destination Duo
Here’s a quick look at both colors. Along with these you will also receive a packet of glitters! These glitters are meant to be used for nail art, not to add to the polishes.
Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Gondolier’s Garden
Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer Gondolier’s Garden is a medium red leaning purple creme packed with orange shimmer and red microflecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coats for these photos.
Aliquid Lacquer Canal Couture
Aliquid Lacquer Canal Couture is a pastel salmon crelly with turquoise microflakes and silver shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer August 2016 Releases & Destination Duo Overview
I had already shown Wash Away What’s Past and Merman, Pops, MerMAN on my blog before and I am happy to see they are available for those who didn’t get a chance to grab the boxes they were in. Siren’s Curtain Call is a must have, both for the color as well as the fact it’s the final one. I really liked the Destination Duo this month and was surprised to see more Spring like shades so close to Fall, but they are both beautifully done polishes and the coordinating glitter goes very nicely with them.
Along with these shades, the Fan Favorites will be restocked for the last time and Julie will also be offering Concepts. Concepts will be offered in a mystery style sale and they will be polishes that were either ideas that never made it into collections or shades really close to ones released. There will not be photos available, but you will get to select the type of polish. There will be a 2 bottle limit per customer on these, but Julie might lift that restriction. Prices will vary on these.
Price: $12.00 Each | $20.00 For Destination Duo
Restock Date: August 24th at 3:30 EST
Tomorrow’s release is going to be AMAZING! Here’s another quick look at the Fan Favorites (you can also click on the link to view them)
