Best of 2013 Non Polish Indie Brands

by Lisa Heath

It’s time to wrap up 2013!  What better way to do that than with a series of ‘Best of 2013’ posts?

To kick off this small series, I will be starting with Non Polish Indie Brands!  I do have a ton of Indie Polish Brands that will be featured in an upcoming post, but I would love to focus on the treasures I discovered this year!  I narrowed it down to 5 brands/companies that blew me away!

Best of Non Polish Indie Brands

(All company images used are from their websites and/or shops)

Number 5 – Painted Earth

PE

Painted Earth was founded to offer an alternative to pore-clogging chemical skincare products, and our exclusively organic, natural and non-toxic products don’t force users to sacrifice health for beauty; instead they make accentuating beauty a healthier process.
On top of their dedication to human health, Painted Earth also looks out for the welfare of our furry friends, and does not condone animal testing or use animal by-products.

Painted Earth is a very new brand to me!  So new, I haven’t gotten the blog post up for it just yet, but I HAD to get it into a Top 5 post!  I am trying some of their skin care as well as some of their cosmetics, and I can tell you now – this is a brand you NEED to try!  Well pigmented shades and the skin care is just amazing!

Top 2 Products to try from Painted Earth:

Painted Earth Boo Boo Gel

Boo Boo Gel ($25.00) – For quick relief, this natural anti-inflammatory will sooth, heal, and nourish your skin.

Painted Earth blush

Baked Mineral Blush in Berry Swirl ($32.00) – Gives the skin a healthy, youthful all-over glow

Number 4 – Briar Muse

BM

Our ultimate goal is to provide our customers with high quality, knock your socks off products! We enjoying staying up-to-date on what’s new and can’t resist researching and developing new products our customers will love. We think the world could be a beautiful place, so we’re starting the movement by making places smell beautiful, one Briar Muse product at a time.

Briar Muse makes AMAZING fragrances that I fell in love with at first sniff.  I still wear their Coconut Milk & Raspberry fragrance regularly!

This company allows me to provide and extra source of income doing what I love, so what started out as a whim for wedding favours turned into a major part of my life. And most importantly, my family no longer suffers from itchy, inflamed, dry skin!
