Anise Sparkle Collection Swatches and Review

Happy Friday!

I have some glitzy, glittery Anise Nail Polish creations to show you today!  I was sent 6 polishes from the Anise Sparkle Collection to review and I cannot tell you how long I have been waiting for Anise to have some glitter polishes available… and they did NOT disappoint!

Flashbulb:

Flashbulb consists of a sheer black jelly base and small to medium holographic silver glitters mixed in.  I used 3 coats for full opacity and 2 coats of a glossy top coat (this glitter was thirsty!) to smooth it all out.  I love holographic glitter, so I was instantly in love with this one!

Social Star:

Social Star is a classically pretty gold glitter in a clear base with some gold holographic glitters mixed in.  I used Social Star over Anise Flirtini for this post.  I loved these 2 colors together!  (annnnd I just realized I am holding the wrong bottle for this pic, so I will be redoing this shot to show the correct gold glitter bottle)  In the meantime here is the Anise website bottle shot:

Party Scene:

Party Scene is great on its own or layered over another color.  I used it on its own.  Party Scene is small purple glitter particles with slightly larger pink hex glitters densely packed into a clear base.  I used 3 coats of Party Scene and 2 coats of top coat for this mani.

After Hours:

After Hours is just as dense as Party Scene and just as wonderful!  After Hours contains gunmetal silver glitter particles with slightly larger blue glitter particles mixed into a clear base.  In the bottle, it didn’t seem like it would be as dense as it is, so I started with a base color of Chill Out (which you can see around the edges… ) but soon realized it was actual pretty opaque on its own.

Get Rich:

This is Get Rich!  Get Rich is a gorgeous red with a metallic finish  I used 2 coats for this mani and coverage was amazing.  I would suggest a good base coat with it though, my nails remained a reddish tint after removal (which a lot of reds do to me… moreso than the dreaded smurf blues!)

Seductive:

Seductive is gorgeous in the bottle and translates onto the nail PERFECTLY.  Seductive is a deep purple base with purple shimmer mixed in.  I only needed 2 coats and a top coat to complete this mani.  So pretty and such a perfect purple <3

The entire Anise Nail Fashion line is free of Toulene, DBP, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor. Not only that, they do absolutely NO animal testing!  Anise has been certified by both PETA and the Leaping Bunny Organization in recognition of their cruelty free position!  Anise Nail Fashion also has a 100% Vegetarian Ingredient Policy!

All of these colors are available at your local DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse) for $6.00 per bottle (each bottle is .5 fl oz), and they are ALWAYS  Buy One Get One 50% off !  You could walk out with 2 gorgeous polishes for less than $10.00!  Anise doesn’t generally stock warehouses with their polish because they want to guarantee freshness and quality in every bottle.  Not too many polish companies can say that.  So you are getting a really good bang for your buck at $6.00 considering it is a 6 Free, cruelty free polish with top notch ingredients!

How does Flashbulb stack up against Zoya’s Storm? Are these sandy glitters like the new Butter Londons?

Storm is much finer holo glitter. Flashbulb needed 2 coats to smooth out, which was stated in the review. Much more sparkle to Flashbulb
