A England To Emily Bronte Collection Swatches & Review

by Lisa Heath

Press Sample from Beautometry

I had some grand plans to swatch like a mad woman all weekend and then have a ton of photos cropped, watermarked and ready to go, so I could burst through posts this week… and then I started watching Netflix and the cropped and watermarking thing just didn’t happen. So now I’m playing a bit of catch up!

First up today we have the lovely To Emily Bronte collection from A England. As many know, I adore A England and their flawless nail lacquer. I can’t think of a single A England color that I was disappointed in. Beautometry sent me the new A England To Emily Bronte collection to review. I had already purchased it when it first released, but it was as a gift for a dear friend so I had to look at them and then wrap em up as a gift. It hurt.

If you are new to Beautometry, they are an online distributor that carries an assortment of mainstream, boutique and indie polish as well as stamping plates and polishes.

So let’s take a look at this collection and see what you think.

Heathcliff

Heathcliff is a black jelly base packed with silver square microglitter, and blue and red hex microglitters. I used 3 thin coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.

Let Me In

Let Me In is a deep berry scattered holographic. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. Easily one of my favorites from this 5 piece collection.

Cathy

Cathy is a nice shade for Winter and originally I didn’t think I would care for it much, but I changed my mind once I wore it (and I actually am wearing it now at work!)

Cathy is a beautiful white grey scattered holographic with a flash of icy blue shimmer. I used 3 thin coats for these photos and a glossy top coat.

I did find the formula of Cathy to be a little thicker than what I am use to with A England, but it self leveled nicely and didn’t cause too many issues.

Wuthering Heights

Wuthering Heights is a lavender toned medium grey scattered holographic. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. Such a beautiful grey shade to wear.

Spirit Of The Moors

I saved my favorite for last!

Spirit of the Moors is a bright blue holographic and the formula is a dream. I put it on and my heart skipped a beat. 2 coats and a glossy top coat were all I used for these photos.

Once again, A England impresses me. The formulas are really good on all 5 shades, and even though I noted that Cathy was a bit thicker than I am use to for A England, I’m willing to look past it because it self leveled nicely and still managed to look amazing.

This may not help much, but my favorites of this collection were Let Me In, Wuthering Heights, Cathy and Spirit Of The Moors. I liked Heathcliff, but it just doesn’t compare to the A England holos that I love so much.

Price: $10.00 Each

I love love love Wuthering heights and Cathy! I have been eyeballing them for the past week but can’t bring myself to purchase them. I’m on a low buy until after the holidays! Hopefully these are still around by then lol

I love this whole collection. I am a sucker for grays, so that doesn’t help.

Great swatches Lisa! Heathcliff is a bit of an odd one out, but it is fun the brand is trying something else :).

A England’s don’t work so good on me like on everyone else out there but I still love Adina’s creations! My favourite here is Wuthering Heights but I must say Cathy looks gorgeous on you!

I have so much crazy respect for how much you swatch and how flawless they all turn out. These polishes are definitely gorgeous, I’m a sucker for gray polishes (they always need more love).
