Giveaway Items Gifted by Vapid Lacquer
Okay I missed yesterday – but it was Nick’s 32nd bday and I was busy. I also got to work from home yesterday due to the weather, and Jacob had a snow day from school… so Nick got a full house for his bday. Of course he also works from home, so since he’s in meetings all day and I would be on the phone with patients (HIPAA) I was in a different section of the house for privacy reasons. Bonus of having an extra bedroom – we can all spread out.
Anyways – for day 7 we have Vapid Lacquer!
As most know, I’m an admin for the Vapicorns FB group. Vapid Lacquer was actually the first group I was a mod or admin for. So for the past 5 or 6 years I have swatched every single release Krys has released. She rarely does customs either, so I was thrilled when she said she would be happy to create a polish for my 10 year blog anniversary!
To celebrate my 10 years of constant posts – I have asked for maker volunteers to create a custom polish for a series of giveaways! Each maker donated at least 2 bottles of a custom – one for me to swatch and keep for the milestone and one to giveaway.
While they made the custom for my blog – makers were given permission to release the custom at a later date. Not all will do this – some literally made it but didn’t save a recipe while others do intend to release it later. So I did make sure there was no exclusivity to the polish, and it’s up to the makers discretion.
Each maker had free rein to create what they wished to. I am a swatcher and not a maker for a reason and each individual maker has their own signature touch.
10 Year Blog Anniversary | Vapid Lacquer
Beep Boop is a medium-deep grey jelly base loaded with red to gold to green shifting aurora pigment and matching iridescent flakes that range from micro to large (see that honker on my ring finger nail?) and it has a dash of reflect glitter for a bit of added sparkle.
Shown is 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat.
Krys does intend on having a whole collection with this style out eventually – and it most likely will include this polish.

This is such a unique and gorgeous polish
I have drawers of vapids…but one of my favs is Tequila Mockingbird. It’s a gorgeous neutral with a bit of sparkle.
My favorite Vapid Lacquer is HFNY16. It’s the perfect amount of holo, sparkle, shimmer, and goodness.

Fave Vapid is Grape Stomp, but I love all of Krys’ crellies too, like Snowball’s Chance which has captured my heart.

I don’t know my favorite Vapid. I have quite a few but haven’t played with them lately. If I looked back, I’d probably pick one of the purples, but offhand, I’m enjoying biohazard, and a dead Sweaters and Denim I got in a destash and didn’t know it had been a thermal. To me it was just a lovely neutral polish.

Most of the time multicolor flakes get swallowed up by a black jelly or crelly base and you can’t see them from a foot away. Not so with Pestilence! Not only is it my favorite Vapid, it’s my favorite black base multicolor flakie polish. Also, I love Vapid’s waxes.

Congrats again on 10 years, and I’m loving the customs people created for you. My all time fave Vapid has to be Spellcaster. Remember when the internet blew up over that one?
I’ve been adding to my collection via destash purchases, and I’m currently loving Cookies for Satan (holiday polish from a past year).
Fave Vapids include Magellanic Cloud and Wanderlust. But so many more are amazing.

Hard to chose just one. Her holos are great. I really like Lonely Hunter, Gin Tastes Like Pine Trees, and Perseides.
LOL, commenting again because I was bad at following directions… you’re going to make me pick a favorite Vapid?! I’m not sure I can, but the first one that pops to mind as a contender is Leviathan, so I’ll go with that for now

Incantation is my favorite though I haven’t been able to find it.
My first ever vapid order years ago included Firestarter, and I think I can safely say it is still my favorite. There is no other red like it. But I also love vapid’s body products- some of the only scented products i can safely use! I don’t know how Krys magically created scented items that don’t bother me, but here we are ♀️ I have an entire bathroom closet full of body sprays, perfume oils, nail sauces, soaps, and face products.

This is a tough one, but I think my favorite Vapid is one of my first, Sweaters & Denim, though I am also partial to Candied Apple Bobbing, and Spellcaster.
Sweaters and Denim was one of my first polishes from Vapid and i still love it. I also love Understory and Satan’s Cookies!
I haven’t tried this brand yet. This is a beautiful polish though!
