Star Crossed Lovers Box

When I was a Freshman in high school, a movie hit the theaters that every girl I knew kinda went nuts over… it was Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of Romeo + Juliet. Saying I was a freshman in high school when it came out REALLY makes me feel old now because November 1st marks the 20th anniversary of it’s release. To celebrate, the Star Crossed Lovers Box was born.

This is a one time box featuring DIFFERENT dimension and Model City Polish!

I watched this movie over and over again and I played the soundtrack regularly (I might still have the cassette somewhere which is sad, cause my 10 year old doesn’t even know what a cassette really is)

Anyways, let’s take a look at the Star Crossed Lovers Box! This is a ONE TIME thing for this anniversary and once it’s gone – it’s gone. The contents were made specifically for this box, so they will not be available individually outside the box.

Model City Polish – Did My Heart Love Till Now?

Model City Polish brings us Did My Heart Love Till Now? and it is a bright cerulean blue linear holographic with added silver holographic microglitters mixed in. This was created to match Leo’s Hawaiian shirt. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

DIFFERENT dimension – My Only Love Sprung From My Only Hate

DIFFERENT dimension created My Only Love Sprung From My Only Hate and it is a silver holographic base with silver holographic micro flakes with an assortment of multi chrome flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. From a normal distance, 2 coats works perfect for full opacity, but up close you can see that a third coat may be needed. I do thin coats, so 2 normal coats would be perfect.

Star Crossed Lovers Box Extras

While this box has 2 gorgeous polishes, you also get 2 fun extras!

Different Dimension’s extra item is a cuticle oil pen.She named the scent I Defy You Stars. It is a combination of musk notes with lily, rose, and vanilla. The label has Romeo + Juliet on it, so it’s customized for this box.

Model City Polish’s extra item is a foam nail buffer. One side is a fine coarse grain and the other side is a medium coarse grain. I got through these like crazy so I was happy to have another one.

I was so happy to be involved in this box and love the theme. Although it makes me feel old, it really made me want to rewatch it. I had no application issues with the polishes and the fun extras are perfect for nail maintenance.

These are absolutely beautiful polishes! I love the complexity of My Only Love Sprung From My Only Hate!

That blue is so pretty. I think it would be cool if you used the silver holographic color in a snowflake sort of shape near the cuticle line as an accent.

They are both amazing polishes. I’ve never seen the Luhrmann version of R&J. I need to watch it

What a great idea for a box. The black one looks so complex in close up.

Lol, well if it was 20 years ago, then I was 20 when the film came out. Loved it, especially Leo of course, but also the soundtrack. I also saw the Cardigans (the band that sang Love Fool) live the year after. Love the DD polish, but the blue is gorgeous too!
