It’s Sunday and I have a lot planned in my head today! We’re having another family outing weekend, and I’m loving it. It hit about 104 yesterday, so Jacob and I took off to hide in a new theater that opened up and saw Jurassic World. The theater is a dine in theater and it was a really fun experience. After we walked around to some shops, and I took Jacob into Sephora for the first time ever. As soon as he saw what we were walking into, he was like “Mom, no. No no no no.”
I am getting this post done, and then Jacob and I are going out to do a few more errands, and I’m hoping to be back later tonight to do a few more posts!
This afternoon we’re going to be looking at the Shimmer Me Box for July 2018!
The constant makers in the Shimmer Me Box are Colors by Llarowe and Native War Paints. We have 2 guest makers for July 2018 – Illyrian and Bee’s Knees Lacquer!
I want to reiterate this, because I’ve had a few more asking: As far as I know, Tux Polish/Color Infinity (same maker, new brand) will no longer be a constant maker in the box. I got a couple PM’s asking and from my understanding it’s Colors by Llarowe and Native War Paints as the main makers. They might bring a 3rd permanent maker into the mix, but for now we get to enjoy 2 constant makers and 2 guest makers each month.
The theme for July is Summer Nights! Let’s see what each maker has in store for us!
Colors by Llarowe – Deserted Beaches
Colors by Llarowe Deserted Beaches is a steal grey blue linear holographic with copper to green to gold shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Native War Paints – Dusk
Native War Paints Dusk is a medium blue tinged grey crelly with red to orange to gold shifting shimmer and bronze, gold and purple micro flecks mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Illyrian – Vesper
Illyrian Vesper is an indigo blue jelly base packed with copper to pink shimmer, silver holographic micro glitters and purple to pink to gold flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Bee’s Knees Lacquer – Heated
Bee’s Knees Lacquer is a black base packed with red aurora shimmer and a gold magnetic micro flecks magnetic pull. When used alone, you see a blackened reddish burgundy with gold shimmer flecks throughout, but when you use the magnet, that gold fleck pulls in, giving the base an even deeper vampy look. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Shimmer Me Box July 2018 | Summer Nights
This truly might be one of my favorite Shimmer Me Boxes to date. It’s so hard to pick because the themes and makers involved can change the box so drastically – but I love this mix of color and shimmer elements. It’s a bit darker in terms of shades for a Summer feeling box, but it is Summer Nights – so it makes some sense. Either way though – this is a mix of polishes perfect year round.
