September 2018 Polish Pickup | Horror Movies

Press Samples of the September 2018 Polish Pickup
Horror Movies

It’s been a really long, exhausting weekend. The whole house has been sick at some point this weekend plus some other family things going on. I’m finally sitting down and trying to play catch up. My desk kind of looks like an explosion took place, I ran out of remover and I almost forgot to include an item in the collage so I had to redo it. Just one of those weekend.

Anyways – tonight we’ll be looking at my review of 42 of the September 2018 Polish Pickup items!

I know I mentioned it last month (and did a post on it!) but there are fewer items in Polish Pickup now. You’ll see a couple non polish items sprinkled in, but Indie Pickup is now a thing! You can find your favorite non polish indie items there, and they will be up later this month (3rd Friday of the month!)

Okay, let’s get into what you came here for. You know the drill…

Before I get into this, we’re going to talk about this new Facebook group and I’m going to describe it’s concept. The group is Polish Pickup. Polish Pickup offers a fun, interactive experience that allows you to submit theme ideas, vote for your favorite theme, and selectively purchase your favorite polishes every month. It’s NOT a box though. I think when it formed that was the major misconception of it.

Now, I love polish boxes, however, some purchasers shared their frustration in only wanting 1 or 2 polishes from a box and needing to unload the polishes in the box they didn’t want. So essentially they were paying $40 and up for 1 or 2 polishes and hoping they could sell the polishes they weren’t interested in.

Polish Pickup is different. While the concept of picking themes and voting isn’t new, instead of buying the whole box, you can shop online for JUST the single polishes you want. There can be many indie makers involved with the theme, but you only have to pay for the exact polishes you wanted rather than 4-8 polishes you may not have been interested in.

Then every month the theme and makers change and you get a whole new set of polishes to pick and choose from. So while it has a box like feel (with the voting and themes) it doesn’t carry the box commitment.

This set of polishes will be available from September 7th at 11am EST through September 10th at 11:59pm EST.

September 2018 Polish Pickup | Horror Movies

Every month I think “Holy crap I did it” when I finish a Polish Pickup post. It’s truly a labor of love, and after this trying weekend… I needed a little escape, and this was it.

Truth be told, I’m a giant sissy – so I haven’t seen many of these films. I’ve seen some of the ones like Pet Semetary, IT, etc when my sister forced me to watch them, but never by choice. Even now, if Nick puts on a scary movie, I’m usually bunched under the covers with my ears plugged and my eyes shut.

That’s right everyone, I’m 36 and I’m a scaredy cat.

This month had a really nice assortment of colors to pick from, I think one of the best assortments we’ve ever seen in Polish Pickup, and it was a really refreshing thing. We have the purples and blues still that usually reign supreme – but we also have some unique ones as well as puglies people love so much.

Where To Buy: Polish Pickup Shop

Shop Dates: September 7th at 11am EST through September 10th at 11:59pm EST

Shipping Price: $3.00 Within US  (regardless of how many you buy!)

The Polish Pickup Shop is open for previews so you can start loading up your wishlists now! A few items still need to be added, but I think the majority of polishes I have are on the site and ready.

Don’t forget, the Horror Movie theme will be carrying over to Indie Pickup (you can join that Facebook group here: Indie Pickup ) to check out what we’ll have then!

Hope you enjoyed, but I’m still sick, so time for me to lay down and pass out.

I’m glad I’m not the sister who forced these scary movies on you. How many times did we get tricked into watching scary movies? Even more astonishing is that I never seemed to learn my lesson. I had a low-key fear of spiders before being tricked/forced into Arachnophobia. Now we have a designated spider cup that Ryan uses to save me from tiny spiders by catching them and taking them outside. Thank goodness I somehow got out of Pet Cemetery!

I know I say this every month but, I am awed by your swatches and thank you for all the hard work (and tremendous amount of time) that you put in!
p.s. Puglies?! LOL, that’s a new term for me but I love it! My favorite polish this month is Lollipop Lacquer which is indeed a pugly!
