Happy Monday! We’re kicking this week off with the OPI Love OPI, XOXO Holiday 2017 Collection!

I’ve been meaning to get this post typed up for over a week, but we had a cold bug sweep through the house right after Thanksgiving. As soon as we started feeling better, Nick and I got hit HARD with a cold and flu bug that knocked us on our butts. It was bad. Somehow Jacob didn’t get hit (thank goodness) but I’m finally feeling human again, I just can’t really smell anything yet.

I have the Love OPI, XOXO Collection to share with you and it has a range of shades from light and airy to deep and vampy. I definitely had a few loves within the set.

Let’s jump right in!

OPI Snow Glad I Met You

OPI Snow Glad I Met You initially didn’t wow me, but when I put it on, it looked pretty darn good against my skintone.  This is a pale pearly champagne base with gold shimmers within it. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Minor brushstrokes are visible.

OPI The Color That Keeps On Giving

OPI The Color That Keeps On Giving is a pearly baby pink with itty bitty silver shimmer flecks mixed in. To me, it felt a little out of place in this collection but I personally liked it, so I’m not complaining. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

OPI My Wish List Is You

OPI My Wish List Is You wanted to photograph almost neon like, but it isn’t. This is a bright orange leaning red jelly. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

While this is a beautiful shade, it isn’t this bright in person.

OPI Adam Said “It’s New Year’s, Eve”

OPI Adam Said “It’s New Year’s, Eve” is pretty much my perfect red. It’s a slightly cool toned red creme that was perfect in 2 coats and a glossy top coat.

OPI Sending You Holiday Hugs

OPI Sending You Holiday Hugs is a medium cool toned shimmery red that has a gorgeous slight blue shift to it. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

OPI Feel The Chemis-tree

Easily my favorite of the collection! OPI Feel The Chemis-tree is a gorgeous red toned purple with intense red to copper shifting shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

OPI Wanna Wrap?

If you love vampy – this is for you! OPI Wanna Wrap? is a deep augergine jelly. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

OPI Holidazed Over You

OPI Holidazed Over You is a deep blackened blue jelly. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

OPI Coalmates

OPI Coalmates is a deep almost smokey blue jelly base packed with silver and blue flecks. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

OPI Top The Package With A  Beau

OPI Top The Package With A Beau is a black creme with silver shimmer and gold and bronze flakes mixed in. At first I wasn’t thrilled with this shade, but when I put it on I kind of fell in love with it. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

OPI Gift Of Gold Never Gets Old

OPI Gift Of Gold Never Gets Old is a gold metallic  with itty bitty gold flecks scattered in. It’s a slightly toned down gold. It’s a very mild one that I prefer to the highly reflective style metallics. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Minor brushstrokes are visible.

OPI Ornament To Be Together

OPI Ornament To Be Together is a silver foil that also has a dash of holo microglitters mixed in. In the bottle I didn’t notice the holo bits, but on the nail they were a little more obvious. All those little flecks that seem to be popping out? Those are holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

OPI Love OPI, XOXO Holiday 2017 Collection Overview

As a whole, I was happy with the OPI Love OPI, XOXO Holiday 2017 Collection. They included a lot of quintessential colors for the upcoming holidays, but I do wish there was a deep gorgeous green included. I didn’t have any formula issues to mention. A couple had minor brushstrokes visible, but one was a metallic and one was a pearl – so those are pretty much expected to show some brushstrokes.

My Top Picks: Feel The Chemis-tree, Adam Said “It’s New Year’s, Eve”, Sending You Holiday Hugs, Holidazed Over You, Wanna Wrap? and Snow Glad I Met You

  11. Don’t use the stuff myself but shared your page with my wife. There are so many brands and colors to choose from when it comes to nail polish seems overwhelming from a guy’s perspective. I’m sure a lot of ladies appreciate you helping them sort through the options. Always nice to get suggestions from other people when it comes to products.
