True Love Collection | April COTM | Undies for Indies Duo | Basics

It’s a long title, I know – but I have a LOT of Night Owl Lacquer goodies to share with you tonight. All of these released within the last 3.5 weeks so they are still fairly new. This post will include the True Love Collection, April’s COTM, Undies for Indies Duo and a couple “basics” that were added to the Night Owl Lacquer round up!

Look at all those pretties.

I’m going to be showing these in the order they are in the title. The True Love Collection is a Princess Bride inspired collection and it released in late March, the 22nd if I remember correctly. It released along with the April Creme of the Month.

The remaining shades released April 6th. Some shades are more limited to April, so I will note that under swatches that are time sensitive.

Ready to dive in?

Night Owl Lacquer | Death Cannot Stop True Love

Death Cannot Stop True Love is a grey tinted base loaded with rose gold metallic flakes, charcoal flakes and coppery shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | Prepare to Die

Prepare To Die is a deep indigo jelly base with red to gold to green crystal chameleon flakes and platinum flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | The Pit Of Despair

If this is what the Pit of Despair is like… sign me up.

The Pit Of Despair is a green to blue to purple silvery shifter with tons of silver holographic falkes and scattered holo flecks mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | Inconceivable

Anyone else say that with a slight lisp like Vizzini? Just me? Okay.

Inconceivable is a deep glowy green jelly base with multichrome shimmer that shifts red to copper to gold, with added silver to pink to green crystal chameleon flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | It Would Take A Miracle

Miracle Max and Valerie used to crack me up. It wasn’t until later in life when I lived with Nick long term that I truly understood their dynamic though.

It Would Take A Miracle is a white crelly base with 4 different shades of color shifting ultrachrome flakes mixed in, so you get a lot of pops of color within it. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | As You Wish

Easily my top pick of the collection. As You Wish is a bright aqua crelly base with gold shimmer and gold flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | Squeeze The Day

Squeeze The Day is a bright lemon yellow creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is the April Creme of the Month and it will only be available for 3 months.

Night Owl Lacquer | Paint The Sky

Paint The Sky is a vibrant aqua blue creme. Its also black light reactive, and I didn’t capture it. If I get some time tomorrow, I’ll take photos and pop them into the post.

I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade will only be available until May 18th and is an Undies for Indies custom.

Night Owl Lacquer | Just Bloom

Just Bloom is a clear base packed full of silver, white, iridescent and purple shimmer flecks, iridescent crystal flakes and ultra chrome chameleon flakes in red, fuchsia, purple, blue and green. I used 1 coat of Just Bloom over Paint The Sky – but it can be worn on it’s own in 3 coats.

This shade will only be available until May 18th and is an Undies for Indies custom.

Night Owl Lacquer | Ya Basic Black

Ya Basic Black is a one coat black creme. I did use 2 coats for my photos, but 1 coat would have sufficed.

Night Owl Lacquer | Ya Basic White

Ya Basic White is a one coat white creme. I, again, used 2 coats for these photos even though it wasn’t really necessary.

I did find this shade to be a touch on the thicker side, but it didn’t give me any issues in application. If thicker polishes aren’t your thing, a few drops of thinner will help you a little.

Night Owl Lacquer | Gone Matte

Gone Matte is a quick drying matte top coat. I love good matte top coats so I was excited to try this and it didn’t disappoint.

I used Ya Basic Black and Ya Basic White for these photos – and they stamp nicely. I messed up my white stamping though (hit my camera) and it was late so I just painted those nails black and matte topped them.

Night Owl Lacquer | True Love Collection | April COTM | Undies for Indies Duo | Basics

There we have the last 2 releases from Night Owl Lacquer. While I adore the glittery and shifty shades – holy crap at the cremes. They are really nicely pigmented and apply nicely. Ya Basic White is thicker, which I mentioned, but still a beautiful white shade for stamping or as a base coat/standalone shade.
