Happy Sunday! I have a few reviews I’ll be posting over the next few days – and we are starting with Night Owl Lacquer Stormy Collection – which just dropped about 2 hours ago.
The Night Owl Lacquer Stormy Collection is a 4 piece set with stormy weather in mind for the names and overall look. I like this kind of thing, so it’s a nice break in between all the gorgeous pastels and neons coming at us.

Night Owl Lacquer | Cloudbursts
Cloudbursts is a black jelly base loaded with violet to indigo to blue micro flake shimmers and holographic flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Despite the flake content – you shouldn’t need a glitter smoother for this – everything laid out smooth enough for just 1 coat of top coat.
Night Owl Lacquer | Lightning & Rainbows
Lightning & Rainbows is a clear base loaded with grey reflective glitter pigment, as well as rainbow shifting large particle shimmer that primarily shows off strong shifts of pink to gold to green to blue. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Night Owl Lacquer | Puddle Reflections
Puddle Reflections is a clear base loaded with holographic flecks and fuchsia to red to orange to gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This is my favorite in the collection and I wouldn’t mind seeing more like it with different shifty shimmers.
Night Owl Lacquer | Rainy Daydreams
Rainy Daydreams is a clear base loaded with dark grey to violet micro flakes, as well as iridescent rainbow shifting flakes. I used 3 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Night Owl Lacquer | Stormy Collection
Application on all 4 polishes was smooth and easy. There are a lot of flakes involved – but none of the polishes needed anything more than a single coat of top coat to smooth. My top 2 picks would be Puddle Reflections followed by Lightning & Rainbows.
