Okay let’s be honest, when am I not running behind lately? Better late than never right? At least the KBShimmer August 2017 Hella Holo Customs Exclusives are still available, so I’m not doing too bad! Things should start to go back to normal soon though. The mainstream Fall collections are half done (I know I still have China Glaze and Essie to do) and the indie Fall releases are picking up steam. Jacob started 6th grade today, so the back to school rush is calming down as well. His father is also setting up to move in less than 2 weeks, so I’ll have Jacob 100% of the time. I’ll be keeping up with incoming packages, but obviously Jacob and homework and family life will be coming first.
I’ll also be having a *gasp* blog sale soon. I have never destashed in my 6 years of blogging and the polish is starting to become too much. Not something I ever thought I would say, but I’m out of helmer space (I have 12 helmers – all overflowing) plus I have boxes of polish tucked away everywhere. After a major house cleaning project the last 2 weeks, I feel like it’s time to release some polishes not getting enough love. I am at almost 12,000 polishes… and let’s be honest, while I love my collection – this 1100 sq ft house can only contain so much awesomeness. Nick has set up a shop on my blog that’s currently hidden, but once I start loading polishes on it – it will be visible to shop. I’m hoping that project will get started this coming weekend.
Okay okay, that’s not what you all came here for. You came to see the KBShimmer August 2017 Hella Holo Customs Exclusives!
KBShimmer is back for another round of Hella Holo Customs! These were created specifically for the Hella Holo Customs group, so you do have to be a member there to purchase.
Back in February KBShimmer took part in HHC, so she’s back for the second time this year. 2 of her newest HHC creations have the same shimmery holo flake goodness as KBShimmer We Make Your Dreams Come Blue and the fab shades from the Summer Vacation collection. The third is a stunning linear holographic.
Let’s jump in and take a look!
Pinking Of Paradise
Pinking Of Paradise is a medium bubblegum pink crelly like base with a soft turquoise shimmer and holo microflakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
The flakes do add a slight texture, so you may need 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish.
One Holo-of a Storm
One Holo-of A Storm is a stunning vibrant blue with hints of periwinkle to it, with a gorgeous pink shimmer and holo micro flakes and silver holo microglitters. My camera pulled a lot of blue in the photos, but in person the periwinkle look is more apparent.
I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. You may need 2 coats of top coat for a completely smooth finish.
That Goes Without Cyan
That Goes Without Cyan is a medium blue linear holographic with itty bitty coppery red chrome microflakes. This shade has a very slight almost dusty quality to it that makes me feel like it’s a Fall blue. Really pretty. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
KBShimmer August 2017 Hella Holo Customs Exclusives
Another beautiful selection from the KBShimmer team for Hella Holo Customs! I had no application issues with these shades, but as I said with the 2 holo fleck ones – there is a bit of texture, so you might need 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish. My absolute favorite from these 3 shades would have to be One Holo-of a Storm!
If you are not familiar with Hella Holo Customs, it is a Facebook group that showcases two indie makers a month. The members help chose the colors being released. To order any of the HHC shades you must be a member of the group. The link to the group is here. Once you are accepted to the group make sure to check out all of the rules and find out how to order.
Available Through September 5th, 2017
