I received a box of Vapid Lacquer shades to photograph, and I decided to do one large post for it! So here is my Vapid Lacquer Swatch Fest!

Within this post I have 11 polishes, the peel off base coat and a top coat. Most of these polishes are available in the Vapid Lacquer shop. I’m going to start with the base coat and top coat, then move along to the pretty polishes!

Commitment Issues Base Coat

I’ve been buying Commitment Issues in bulk (I bought 3 more today I believe during the restock) and it’s made my swatch sessions a breeze. Commitment Issues is a peel off latex base coat that goes on milky white but dries down to clear. This is NOT a long term base coat, and it peels off cleanly, which makes it perfect for swatching.

Shown is 1 coat of Commitment Issues.

Scorpion High Shine Quick Dry Top Coat (Black Light Reactive)

This is a fun one to play with. Scorpion High Shine Quick Dry Top Coat looks and acts like a normal top coat, but under black light, it glows! I did 1 coat over Problem Child to show how it looks. In normal lighting, it looks like a normal top coat.

Below is an oops photo, but you can see on the index how it shows the normal polish I have it over.

Catch Me If You Can

Catch Me If You Can is a deep teal linear holographic. It has an incredibly strong holo that freaked my camera out a bit! I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cryogenic Refrigerant

If you are looking for a super duper silver linear holographic – look no further. Cryogenic Refrigerant is a strong silver linear holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos, but 2 normal to thick coats would work fine as well. I used a glossy top coat as well for these photos.

Mistrust

Mistrust is a slightly pink toned grapey purple linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Optimist

Optimist is a pure white creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Pessimist

Pessimist is a pure black creme. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Polarize

Polarize is a deep navy blue linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Problem Child

Problem Child is the gorgeous shade I showed below Scorpion High Shine Quick Dry Top Coat!

Problem Child is a medium beige linear holographic with hints of purple tones and a gorgeous pink shift. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Stressed Out

Stressed Out is a cool toned purple linear hologrpahic that borders on blurple depending on your lighting. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Surprise I’m Drunk!

Surprise I’m Drunk! is a gorgeous light nude creme linear holographic with flashes of pink. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Trash Can Punch

Okay, so this shade is not so reddish in person. My camera really picked up the red tones. Trash Can Punch is a watermelon pink jelly base with pink to red to violet shifting microflecks within it. I used 3 thin, juicy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Whatz Her Face

Whatz Her Face is a stunning red toned violet berry jelly like based linear holographic. There is a gorgeous blue flame within it too! I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
