Hella Handmade Creations | November 2019

November 2019

I’m telling you, it’s always something in this house. Last week my son came down with a nasty cold virus. Then I woke up Saturday with it. Sunday, Nick woke up with a stomach bug. I had Monday off already, which was good I requested it because I felt horrible. I ended up using some PTO time to take Tuesday off as well… but then I get a call from Jacob’s school – and after recovering from his cold virus – he got Nick’s stomach bug. Nick and I have been trying to not cross contaminate each other, but Jacob got hit with both (Nick still hasn’t gotten the cold and I still haven’t gotten the stomach bug though.)

The good news is, that meant I had more time to swatch when my medications kicked in and I could breathe. So for once, this post is on time. I have the 5 of the Hella Handmade Creations November 2019 offerings to share.

This month I have the offerings from 77 Nail Lacquer, Ethereal Lacquer, LynBDesigns, Colors by Llarowe and Necessary Evil Polish to share. Shop opens in about 40 minutes, if my math is correct – so let’s get into the post.

77 Nail Lacquer | I Don’t Want Your Society

Theme: Punk Rock

I Don’t Want Your Society is a black based jelly holographic with blue to green to purple multichrome shifting shimmer. The primary color I see in the bottle and on my nails is green, then a slight blue shift and then a strong purple shift at an angle. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Price: $13.00 | Cap: 95 Bottles

Colors by Llarowe | Somebody To Love

Theme: Freddie Mercury

Somebody To Love is a deep red linear holographic with a red flame. This leans slightly more cool toned for me, but it’s fairly close to a middle of the road red. The flame of the holo is a little warmer to balance the deep, cool red base. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Price: $11.00 | Cap: 160 Bottles

Ethereal Lacquer | Mars

Theme: Planets

Mars is an incredible beautiful shade, but an incredible difficult one to photograph. To my eye, this is a warm, pink leaning coral. It has more pink than my photos show. There is a strong linear holographic effect with a golden flame, as well as red to copper shimmer, which is what makes the photos alter a bit.

To me, this leans more pink than red – but I would definitely put it in the coral category.

I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Price: $12.50 | No Cap

LynBDesigns | Pardon My French, But Le Foop

Won’t even lie, I thought the label said “Le Poop” and not “Le Foop” so my photos are labeled wrong in folders.

Theme: The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Pardon My French, But Le Foop is a sunny yellow (cold) to pale pastel yellow (warm) with red to gold shifting shimmer, pink to gold shifting micro flecks and micro rose iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

All of the elements within the polish are on the subtle side.

Price: $13.00 | Cap: 90 Bottles

Necessary Evil Polish | The Fortress Of Solitude

Theme: Under The Microscope

The Fortress Of Solitude is an orchid pink crelly with red shimmer, scattered holo, ice blue crystal micro flakes, as well as purple, blue and gold micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Price: $11.50 | No Cap

Hella Handmade Creations | November 2019

There is a lovely selection this month, and I’m quite happy with the 5 I received. They all applied beautifully and are all completely wearable for my skin tone (even the LynBDesigns yellow – and yellow isn’t a color that often agrees with me)

Available: November 14th at 12:01 am EST until November 21st at 11:59 pm HST (Hawaii Standard Time)

Where To Buy: Hella Handmade Creations Shop

Shop should be opening momentarily (unless my math skills completely suck… which is a good bet) so happy shopping!
