Water Colors Collection

Who’s ready for more Great Lakes Lacquer? For the 3rd Anniversary of Great Lakes Lacquer she created a collection that was inspired by her colorful logo. Here is the Great Lakes Lacquer Water Colors Collection!

This is a 5 piece collection that consists of jellies and crellies loaded with shimmer and iridescent flakes. The colors are bright, yes slightly subdued at the same time so the shimmer and flakes pop out and the elements don’t overpower the color and vice versa.

If you attended Polish Con, these shades debuted there – so you might have seen them or already purchased some or all. They will be launching on the Great Lakes Lacquer website on July 1st.

Let’s take a look!

Bottom Shoals

Bottom Shoals is my must have shade from this collection. Bottom Shoals is a bright aqua crelly with a generous helping of color shifting shimmer and iridescent flakes that shift from coppery red to gold to green, as well as a bit of scattered holo mixed in for good measure. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Fading Day

Fading Day is a bright pink leaning violet crelly with a ton of coppery red to gold to green shimmer and scattered holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Moonlit

Moonlit is a heavily blue leaning periwinkle jelly that is packed with blue to lavender shifting shimmer, electric blue micro flakes and aqua to green to purple shifting iridescent flakes, as well as some scattered holo sprinkled in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Shell Reflection

Shell Reflection is a coralish orange crelly base filled with blue to pink to purple shifting shimmer, iridescent flakes that shift from pink to purple to gold, and a subtle scattered holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Sun Dappled

The final shade in the lineup is Sun Dappled! This is a buttery yellow crelly base with coppery red shifting shimmer, coppery red to gold to green shifting iridescent flakes and scattered holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Great Lakes Lacquer Water Colors Collection

In my honest opinion – the shimmer selection in each shade really made these polishes stand out for me. The different shimmers in each base was so perfectly matched up to really make the shimmer and base color both shine. Loved it.

I had no application issues with any of these shades, but I do use thin coats which seems to help a lot with application in general for me. They all have that squishy, juicy look to them.
