Misheard Lyrics Collection

It’s getting late, but I’ve been getting a lot done, so I wanted to do another post tonight to keep things flowing. Next up is a collection that released in August, but I just got it in for review a couple weeks ago. It’s the Girly Bits Cosmetics Misheard Lyrics Collection!

This is a 7 piece collection that consists of 6 bright shimmery mattes and a shifty topper. Each is named after well known songs… and the misheard lyrics. You know what I mean, when you sing a song for months and then realize the lyrics you’ve been belting out are… wrong. Or when you and a friend start singing together and realize that one of you has the wrong words… so you look it up (in my day we had the cassette tapes and the inserts had the words) on Google to see who messed it up.

This collection is dedicated to all that.

Let’s get going…

Girly Bits Cosmetics | Cross-Eyed Bear

It’s not fair, to deny me, of the cross-eyed bear that you gave to me / You Oughta Know / Alanis Morissette

I was born in 82, and graduated high school in 2000 – so Jagged Little Pill was a popular album during my high school years. I had never heard this misheard lyric before – but now I can hear it when I listen to the song.

Cross Eyed Bear is a Caribbean green with gold to blue shimmer that dries down to a matte finish. I used 2 coats.

Girly Bits Cosmetics | Electric B00bs

She’s got electric b00bs. A mole hair too! / Bennie and the Jets / Elton John

Yes, I’m using zeros in place of the 0’s. My blog has ads and all that and it doesn’t take much to set off some weird XXX demonetization thing, so I have to be careful. Electric B00bs is a fuchsia pink with pink to purple shimmer and dries down to a matte finish. I used 2 coats for these photos.

Girly Bits Cosmetics | Fax Machine

She was a fax machine, she kept her modem clean / You Shook Me All Night Long / AD/DC

This just sounds like an IT guy changed up the words to suit his profession to me. Fax Machine is a warm violet with red to gold shimmer and dries to a matte finish. I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

Girly Bits Cosmetics | Hot Dogs

Near, far, where ever you are, I believe that the hot dogs go on / My Heart Will Go On / Celine Dion

Ahh yes – the big Titanic song. Again, graduated in 2000 and this movie came out when I was 15 – so this song was popular and overplayed. Hot Dogs is a vibrant ultramarine blue with violet to blue shimmer that dries matte. I used 3 thin coats for these photos.

Girly Bits Cosmetics | Kiss This Guy

‘scuse me, while I kiss this guy / Kiss the Sky /Jimi Hendrix

Kiss This Guy is a medium, cool toned purple with pink shimmer that dries to a matte finish. I used 2 coats for these photos.

Girly Bits Cosmetics | Lorraine

I wanna know, have you ever seen Lorraine? / Have you ever seen the rain? / Creedence Clearwater Revival

This is actually one of my favorite songs, probably top 20 most played in my car. Never once did I hear Lorraine UNTIL I GOT THIS COLLECTION. Now it’s all I hear.

Thanks Pam.

Lorraine is a bright aqua blue with blue to purple shimmer and dries to a matte finish. I used 2 coats for these photos.

Girly Bits Cosmetics | Tony Danza

Hold me closer Tony Danza / Tiny Dancer / Elton John

This one I definitely knew about cause I used to hear Tony Danza. Of course I grew up watching Who’s The Boss, so I knew it was possible his name would be in a song. My son loves The Office and there’s a scene this song is played – and since that episode, he’s loved the song. When I told him the misheard lyric – he had no clue who Tony Danza was and sucked the fun out of it.

Kids. Pfft.

Tony Danza is a clear based topper with iridescent red to orange to green color shifting glitters, as well as red to copper to green color shifting shimmer. I used 1 coat over a black creme to show the color shifts.

Girly Bits Cosmetics | Misheard Lyrics Collection

I think the most recent misheard song lyric for me (and I remember cause it was the most recent I recall) was from Taylor Swift’s Blank Space. I thought she said “All the lonely Starbucks lovers” but she actually says “Got a long list of ex-lovers” and I looked up the lyrics cause the Starbucks things just didn’t seem to fit the song.

This is a fun collection that made me want to relisten to the songs. For most, I actually always knew the lyrics – but now I hear the wrong ones because of this collection.

Again – thanks Pam.

I had no application issues and all the mattes played nicely.
