Ethereal Lacquer | Moonlit Collection

Press Sample of the Ethereal Lacquer
Moonlit Collection

Happy Tuesday! I’ve had these swatches done for a few weeks, and I wanted to keep the posts rolling – so we’re going to be looking at the Ethereal Lacquer Moonlit Collection today!

Most of you know that Ethereal Lacquer released Moonlit Machete for Polish Pickup last year (or early this year?) and then in July, she brought it back for the “Throwback” month and created Moonlit Mist for the After Party. Now Meagan has created a small collection with the same feel to it – all with the Moonlit name!

The Ethereal Lacquer Moonlit Collection consists of 6 jelly/crelly based shades packed with color shifting flakes and a dash of aurora shimmer in a few. The final photo in each set will show each polish closeup with a matte top coat.

When I did these initially, I was cruising along with swatches, finished them… and then realized they don’t release until the END of August. However, I then found out they would be at Indie Expo Canada – so the post is going up earlier for that reason.

Let’s jump in and take a look!

Ethereal Lacquer | Moonlit Flame

Moonlit Flame is a pink leaning cherry red jelly base with gold to orange to pink colorshifting flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Moonlit Malice

Moonlit Malice is a vampy burgundy red jelly base with aurora shimmer and color shifting flakes that flash gold, orange, green and blue. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Moonlit Opal

Moonlit Opal is a pale powder blue crelly base with soft gold to blue to purple to pink color shifting flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

When applied, the color softens more and in most lighting looks like a soft white. In the shade or dimmer lit areas, you see more blue tinge to the base.

Ethereal Lacquer | Moonlit Orchid

Moonlit Orchid is a warm violet leaning orchid jelly base loaded with gold to orange to green shifting flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Ethereal Lacquer | Moonlit Storm

Moonlit Storm is a deep smoky grey jelly base loaded with gold to orange to green shifting flakes and a small dash of aurora shimmer. This is my favorite of the set because the base color really makes those flakes POP! I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

  Ethereal Lacquer | Moonlit Storm

Moonlit Storm is a smokey plum jelly base loaded with gold to orange to green shifting flakes and a touch of aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

There was a small labeling snafu which is resulting in this shade being pulled. It was labeled as Moonlit Storm, but Moonlit Storm is actually the only labeled Moonlit Rain. Confusing, I know. But this shade will NOT be released. Moonlit Storm is above.

Ethereal Lacquer | Moonlit Collection

This is a beautiful flakey filled collection, and if you loved Moonlit Machete and Moonlit Mist – then you’ll love these. all 6 shades have a really nice “squishy” appearance and the consistency of the base is perfect for floating the flakes in. Then dry, only 1 coat of top coat is needed for a smooth, glassy appearance.

These will debut at Indie Expo Canada this coming weekend and will officially launch on the Ethereal Lacquer website on August 30th. The August 30th date *might* change, but as of now, that’s the planned online launch.

My Top Picks: Moonlit Opal, Moonlit Rain & Moonlit Malice
