Holo-Maniacs Custom #11

It’s pretty much been a DIFFERENT dimension week over here. I already showed you the Intergalactic Collection, as well as the Homespun Holidays Collection. I said I had one more to share and it’s the DIFFERENT dimension Holo-Maniacs Custom #11!

That’s right – look at that beauty. I was actually really happy with this because, while I love me some purples and blues, most customs ARE purple and blue now. So to see a gorgeous, bright green was a nice change.

Here is the inspiration picture for the shade

And let’s take a look at my swatches.

DIFFERENT dimension Holo-Maniacs Custom #11 is a vibrant Spring green with a medium intensity linear holographic effect as well as gold flecks and iridescent gold to yellow to green or aqua blue shifting microglitters. I took a better photo a few shots down so you can see the microglitter.

I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

DIFFERENT dimension Holo-Maniacs Custom #11 Overview

DIFFERENT dimension Holo-Maniacs Custom #11

Like I said, I am kinda happy to see a different color being used as a custom. Not that I have anything against purples or blues, but I have seen some in the polish world wanting colors outside those 2. Application was actually pretty easy with Holo-Maniacs Custom #11, there’s a lot going on with the holo, the flakes and the microglitters, but it went on pretty evenly and only needed 1 coat of top coat to smooth. I would recommend you watch how much polish you pick up on your brush though. While I had no issue with application, the base is almost metallic like, plus all the elements, and if you pick up too much it can easily pull, streak or bunch up. I do thin coats naturally, but at one point I wasn’t paying attention and picked up too much, so I did see first hand that it could be an issue. Thinner coats worked perfectly.

I like that you catch glimpses of the color shifting iridescent glitters and they also blend into the base a little so neither one overpowers the other.

This is stunning. More of a spring/summer colour for me but like you, I like to see some different colours as I am amassing quite a collection of blues and purples
