I Need A Day Off Too Collection

Can you believe I’m almost caught up? Not on swatching… I’m doing okay on swatching, but I have more that arrived yesterday so I’ve got plenty to keep me busy, but I’m posting a couple collections today before their release date! First up today is the Colors by Llarowe I Need A Day Off Too Collection.

This 8 piece collection was inspired by Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and after the hectic month Leah Ann has had – she needs one as well. Heck I do too. Not that I’d know what to do with myself, but a day off would still be pretty sweet.

This collection opens for preorder tomorrow, October 1st at 12pm MDT and will be available until October 7th at 12pm MDT.

Let’s dive right in!

Colors by Llarowe | Danke Schoen

Danke Schoen is a blackened brown linear holographic with red to gold shimmer and a small amount of multichrome flecks mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Colors by Llarowe | Fry Cook On Venus

I think it’s safe to say that this is my favorite of the collection. It’s so freaking glowy!

Fry Cook On Venus is a sheer dove grey linear holographic with aqua to pink to lavender shifting shimmer and some itty bitty iridescent blue to aqua to green shifting iridescent flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Colors by Llarowe | Possibly Armed, Certainly Weird

Possibly Armed, Certainly Weird is kind of a shade between army and emerald green? Mix half and half and you have this green. It’s not as “muddy” as army green but not as vibrant as emerald green. It has a tight linear holographic with yellow flame. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Colors by Llarowe | Righteous Dude

I’ll go ahead and say straight off – my photos don’t show this one justice. It has a beautiful subtle shift that I couldn’t capture no matter how much I contorted my arm, but it’s there when you see it (subtle, but there) but on camera – it was a big hide n seek game.

Righteous Dude is a royal blue scattered holographic that shifts from royal blue to aqua to purple to pink and has a very delicate silver shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Colors by Llarowe | Roll Back The Miles

Roll Back The Miles is a cherry red linear holographic. This leans a little to the cool toned side, so my skin tone was happy with it. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Colors by Llarowe | Seen Anything Good Today?

Seen Anything Good Today? is a sky blue crelly base with ultra fine unicorn pee pigment that shifts red to gold to green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Colors by Llarowe | The Sausage King Of Chicago

The Sausage King Of Chicago is a smokey grey with a lavenderish tint crelly base red to gold to green shifting shimmer, scattered holographic and has some multicolored shifting micro flecks mixed in. I did 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Colors by Llarowe | Twist And Shout

Twist and Shout is a fuchsia to magenta to gold multichrome with hot pink to fuchsia micro flecks mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Colors by Llarowe I Need A Day Off Too Collection

Another collection with a nice variety of colors mixed in! We have lighter shades like Seen Anything Good Lately? all the way to the deeper Fall shades like Danke Schoen. Each one applied beautifully.

This was difficult – but my top 3 of the collection are: Fry Cook On Venus, Seen Anything Good Lately? and The Sausage King Of Chicago.

Price: $11.00 Each
