Apocalypse Polish | Very Strange Things Collection Volume Two

About 2 weeks ago I uploaded a video and did a blog post for a new brand launching and their debut collection. It was for Apocalypse Polish Very Strange Things Collection… and SURPRISE.. there’s a Volume Two already ready to go.

To see Volume One – check out this blog post HERE and the video is linked below.

For the Volume Two video on Youtube, you can check it out here:

Anyways, Volume Two will be available on March 15th, however there is a standalone polish called The Bridge that released yesterday, and I also show that shade in this post, as well as in the video above.

For the fine details, I do use Apres Gel X Nails in Extra Short Stiletto which are clear nails. I do not use blurring base coats (unless I’m reviewing them) or anything to increase opacity of the nails – and it shows during my YouTube videos especially. With the clear nails, if you can see through the tip still – then odds are you will also see VNL through the polish I have on. If you cannot see through them, then opacity was likely reached.

I work during the day in a medical office, and on weekends I enjoy day time shenanigans with my son – so most of my swatching is done at night in studio lighting. I also use a fairly basic, older point and shoot camera (Nikon L830) and I don’t do any fun frills to be fancy.

Let’s jump in… Volume Two has 6 polish total, then The Bridge means we’re looking at 7 polishes.

Apocalypse Polish | Shock Jock

Shock Jock is a true neon blue with soft blue to purple shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Apocalypse Polish | Flayer of Minds

Flayer of Minds is a cool violet jelly base with red holographic flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Apocalypse Polish | The Demogorgon

The Demogorgon is a soft lavender to pink duo chrome crelly with blue shimmer and a dusting of holo microglitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Apocalypse Polish | The Upside Down

The Upside Down is a deep sapphire blue with a pearly blue shimmer, blue holographic flakesand a large particle red shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Apocalypse Polish | The Right Side Up

The Right Side Up is a thermal that shifts from light blue (warm) to dark blue (cold) with a sparkling linear holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Apocalypse Polish | Toto, I Don’t Think We’re In Hawkins Anymore

Toto, I Don’t Think We’re In Hawkins Anymore is a blue glitter bomb with black, cobalt and sapphire holographic glitters in a clear base. I used 3 thin coats, glitter smoother and glossy top coat for these photos.

Apocalypse Polish | Very Strange Things Collection Volume Two

Another great collection, that’s technically a continuation of the previous. I do like some of the moodier blues here though.
