2 Minute Rolled Bun for Fall

It’s Fall! The leaves are turning colors, there’s a chill to the air… and flakes on your shoulders?

Fall is my favorite season! But not my hair’s favorite. With the chillier, dryer weather my hair needs even more love than before. I need extra care in my routine to prevent and protect damage, and a dry, itchy scalp.

Now is the perfect time to switch to Dove DermaCare to combat that weather change and keep your hair healthy and nourished for Fall.

There are several Dove DermaCare Shampoos and Conditioners to choose from, and not only am I going to tell you my favorites, I’m also going to be sharing my favorite quick and easy Fall hairstyle – a 2 Minute Rolled Bun!

Before we get started on my go-to hair style – let’s talk about Dove DermaCare! I always keep 2 different kinds on hand because my hair is finicky. I picked it up from CVS, which is really convenient for me since it’s about 2 blocks from my house.

My most used is the Dove DermaCare Scalp Invigorating Mint Anti-Dandruff 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner. It’s formulated with active Pyrithione Zinc to tackle dandruff in a formula that renews scalp and hairs natural moisture. It also has a fresh mint sensation that feels amazing when you are still trying to wake up in the morning. Its pH balanced formula helps to gently care for hair, so mild that you can use it every day.

Some weeks are rougher on my hair and scalp and I feel a tad more itchy than usual. That’s when I swap out for Dove Dermacare Scalp Dryness & Itch Relief Anti Dandruff Shampoo and Conditioner, with a coconut shea butter scent, is specifically designed to help nourish the dry scalp and relieve it from itchy irritation. It’s created with Pyrithione Zinc as well, so it combats dandruff while also helping the dry and itchy feeling.

You can also find Dove DermaCare in Scalp Clean & Fresh Anti-Dandruff as well as Scalp Soothing Moisture.

I’ve been using these for about a month and I haven’t seen any flakes, plus my scalp feels healthy and my hair feels soft and manageable. So much so, that I have been doing more with my hair – including the 2 Minute Rolled Bun I’m about to show you!

This is a super quick and super easy hair style that keeps your hair out of your face, but still looks cute to leave the house in.

Here’s a look at my hair down. It was still slightly damp because I have really thick hair, and it’s easier to style if I have a little dampness still in it.

First we’re going to pull our hair up into a loose ponytail. When I let go, the hair band will fall to the nape of my neck.

Next I’m going to make a little hole right above the elastic and flip the hair up and through that hole.

It should end up like this.

We’re going to lift and flip the hair once again through that hole. If you have longer hair, you might have to lift and flip a third time.

Now it’s time to secure with about 1000 bobby pins (I’m kidding it only took 8 for my thick hair)

That’s it. I have a lot of baby hairs, so I always have flyaways – but overall, this is actually an easy hairstyle and I can go to work like this, or throw on pajamas and wander around the house.

Since I’m using Dove DermaCare, I don’t have to worry about flakes falling from my head, or itchy scalp that can ruin any updo.

Your hair is so thick. I think I could actually do that bun on my daughters hair. Mine is too short!

I do have very thick hair. I actually get it thinned when I get a trim. And with shorter hair, you can do half your hair in a rolled bun! It’s really cute that way

What a pretty hairstyle! I wouldn’t have guessed this is how you make it. I could use some new hair products and these sound very nice.

Thank you! I have a lot of hair, so I can’t do a normal bun without it being really wide, so I opt for this or the messy bun :)

I love that gorgeous rolled bun hairstyle tutorial! About twice a year I change out brands of conditioner and shampoo to give my hair and scalp a break, and just to try out new products and lovely scents. I’ll need to try the Dove products you recommend in this post!

The Invigorating Mint selection has my interest…I’m curious about the scent and sensation. I might have to try this bun trick…it’s very cute.

You made that look so, so easy! I’ve always had a very hard time putting my hair into a bun. For some reason they always come apart. I will have to try this and hopes it work for me. Thank you so much!

If it is quick and easy, then I am all for it. I do not have time to screw with my hair. Lol!
