I have so many goodies to share with you tonight, and this post will be fairly photo heavy. I have the Vapid Lacquer January 2017 Releases & Hard Candy Box Set to show you!

For the upcoming Vapid Lacquer release we have cremes, we have shimmers, we have glittery goodness, new toppers and a new box set with a lot of goodies!

As I said, this is a very photo heavy post – so we’ll get started!

First, the box set!

Hard Candy Box Set

The Hard Candy Box comes with 2 polishes, which are Come Hitcher and Hard Candy. It will also contain new bath and body care items in the Hard Candy scent! Nail Sauce, Body Cream, Body Bar, Sweetness Lip Balm, Whipped Sugar Scrub and a free gift of a Wax Melt. You can also get these individually if the full box set isn’t for you.

The Hard Candy scent is really fruity but with a little tartness. It’s an interesting scent and not overwhelming. It’s described as a mix of pixie stix and lollipops, sugar and sweet tarts.

Now a closer look at the items inside the box set

Come Hither

Come Hither is a warm toned red with shimmer and a coppery red sparkle. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. The closeup photo I did that shows 3 fingers is more color accurate, the full shot is pulling slightly more orange than in person.

Hard Candy

Hard Candy is a vibrant hot magenta with silver holographic flakes. You can also see a pinkish glow that makes it look a little shifty. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Nail Sauce

Nail Sauce is one of the items I stock up on, so I was thrilled to see it in a new scent. This is basically a cuticle cream that soaks in quickly and is non greasy.

Body Bar

The Vapid Body Bar is a giant lotion stick. It looks like a ginormous chapstick and has a twisty bottom to push the product up. Because it has a plastic tube, you can apply it without getting it all over your hands.

Perfect for rough areas like elbows.

Whipped Sugar Scrub

Whipped Sugar Scrub is a lighter, airy scrub! LOVE these on my legs and arms.

Body Cream

Body Cream is a thick body cream. Perfect to use after the shower and after using the Whipper Sugar Scrub!

Sweetness Lip Balm

Sweetness Lip Balm to keep your lips nice and hydrated in the chillier months.

Wax Melt

WAX MELT! I love wax melts and this one smells divine! It’s fruitier than my boyfriend likes, but perfect for me.

Ok, now we will move onto the rest of the releases!

Naivete

Naivete is a nude pinky peach. It definitely leans more of a peach on my skin tone. i used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. I did have minor self leveling issues, but nothing huge.

Frosted Kisses

Frosted Kisses is a slightly dusty medium pink creme. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

It’s a touch deeper pink in person.

Swayed

Swayed is a light cool toned beige creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Cunning

Cunning is a medium warm toned, slightly dusty brown creme. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Petty

Petty was inspired by the Pantone Color of the Year, Greenery.

Petty is a bright lime green with gold to green shifting shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Insipid

Insipid is a berry jelly base filled with black, cherry red and purple holographic glitters. i used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I love how squishy this polish is! Because of the jelly base and glitters, you might need 2 coats of top coat to smooth over when completely dry.

Stardust Holo Topcoat

Vapid has a new holographic topcoat! Stardust is a delicate linear holographic topcoat. This isn’t an ‘in your face’ holo. It adds some sparkle, but doesn’t overpower the polish. The darker the base color, the more obvious the holo.

I have it shown over the cremes in this collection. Each swatch is 1 coat of Stardust:

Onward Through The Fog

Onward Through The Fog is a matte top coat that is incredible. It’s super smooth and dries matte in a decent amount of time. It’s not so fast that you have to be speedy applying, but it doesn’t take forever to mattify. It was fully dry in about 5 minutes.

I have Onward Through The Fog shown over the cremes and Insipid below:

Vapid Lacquer January 2017 Releases & Hard Candy Box Set Overview

Whew! This is an awesome assortment of goodies that will be releasing tomorrow. Overall, everything applied beautifully although I did have some self leveling issues with Naivete. The matte top coat was incredible and seamless and the linear top coat is a nice, subtle holo. Of course, I highly recommend grabbing the whole Hard Candy Box Set!

Oh wow, so much to like here. I think the Hard Candy box would make a great Vday gift. For me, I love Frosted Kisses and Stardust a lot! I need to check my stash to see if I have something like Stardust coz I was just wishing I had a subtle glitter topper like that.

Their polishes are so interesting since you have the subtle office friendly creams and then the magnificent holos and metallics. I’d be so interested in smelling this scent too.
