I already know people are here to see all 12 shades that Vapid will be releasing for Black Friday… so, without too much jibber jabber – here is the Vapid Lacquer Black Friday 2017 Releases!

For the Vapid Lacquer Black Friday 2017 Releases you will see some oldies being brought back, but there are also some newcomers to the game. 5 of these shades are totally new, 2 are redone so they feel familiar but are just a bit different, and the rest are being brought back.

We’re going to kick this off with the brand new shades, then work our way to the rereleased shades.

Slay Bells

Slay Bells is a rich bing cherry red  with silver holographic flakes. It has a super reflective metallic like appeal to it. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Dusky

Dusky is a blurple base with violet purple to pinkish red shimmer and has a smokey feel to it. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Krampus

Krampus is one of 2 thermals in this set. Krampus is a deep black cherry when cold to cherry red when warm shifting thermal with shifting sparkle shimmer mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The shimmer in this polish settles, so you just need to give it a quick shake. There is still a lot in the polish, but don’t be alarmed if you see a lot settled on the sides or bottom of the bottle.

Happy Freakin’ New Year 2017

Happy Freakin’ New Year 2017 is a silver linear holographic base with added color shifting shimmer from red to gold and silver holographic flecks. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Black Friday 2017

Black Friday 2017 is a black jelly base with gold color shifting hex glitters mixed in. The gold glitters shift to blue and green at extreme angles. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Umbrageous

Umbrageous is a deep green with fine linear holographic shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Disambiguation

Disambiguation is the second thermal in this setup. Disambiguation goes from a vibrant medium cool toned purple when cold to a vibrant turquoise when warm, and has aqua to violet shimmer mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Now for the re-releasing polishes!

Gilver!

Gilver is a silvery gold linear holographic. In some lighting it looks more gold, in others more silver. I was waiting for this one, and it didn’t disappoint. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Santa Baby

Santa Baby is a remix of an old red that Vapid had tried to remake in the past, and she finally found the original pigments. This shade is very limited. If it’s on your list I highly suggest grabbing it, checking out and going back from the rest. It may not return after this round.

Santa Baby is a soft, warm toned cherry red creme based linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

*If this shade is appearing orange on your screen, I can tell you it’s not orange. It is warm toned, but not orange at all. Sadly monitors vary and on mine it looks normal, but on others it might appear to lean more orange.

Winter Midnight 2017

 Winter Midnight 2017 is a deep sapphire blue with white flakes mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Violet <3’s Snowflakes 2017

 Violet <3’s Snowflakes is a deep cool toned purple with white and violet microflakes mixed in. This shade is remixed, so it may not be exact, but it’s been done to the best of Vapid’s ability to bring it back since the original pigments and flakes were no longer available. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Gin Tastes Like Pine Trees

Gin Tastes Like Pine Trees is a deep smokey pine green with golden green shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Vapid Lacquer Black Friday 2017 Releases Overview

Oooh boy. Okay so application wise, everything was perfect. The only slight thing I want to mention again is that Krampus DOES have sinking shimmer but you can easily shake it back up. There is still shimmer swimming around and you will get a good amount in application, but it is visually obvious in the bottle. Otherwise everything was perfection all around.

There will be bath and body products releasing, but the star scent this year will be Mallow Mint! Mallow Mint is a swirl of marshmallow fluff and candy canes! It will be available in a ton of varieties of the bath and body offerings. So be ready for bar soaps, fluffy whipped soap, sugar scrubs, body bars, body mists, skin care, mousse and wax melts in a bunch of scents!

I should be receiving some of the Bath & Body offerings soon so I can do a post on initial impressions for those as well.
