Christmas 2019 Box

Happy Friday! I’m still swatching away for December releases coming, but I got the final polish for this post this morning, so I was able to complete the post. Today we’re going to look at The Indie Spectrum Christmas 2019 Box! This is an all Australian makers box, and they are incredible.

Emily de Molly and Grace-full Nail Polish are the main brands within the box. For December 2019 – Bettie Pain Polish and Femme Fatale are joining as guest makers. I’m familiar with 3 of the 4 brands and have featured them on my blog before. Bettie Pain Polish is new to me, and I’m wondering now why I’ve never heard of her, cause this polish is phenomenal.

The theme for the Indie Spectrum December 2019 Box is Christmas! The box is a pre-order and went on sale on the 28th of November at 8pm AEDT and will run until the 2nd of December at 8pm AEDT.

Let’s jump right in.

Femme Fatale | Tinsel and Trinkets

Tinsel and Trinkets is a pink leaning cherry red jelly base with blue shimmer, as well as shards and glitters in red holographic and red metallic. I used 2 coats and 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish.

Due to the jelly base and load of glitters, it dries down to a textured finish, but 2 coats of top coat did give it a smooth, glassy finish.

Emily de Molly | Hidden Meaning

Hidden Meaning is a sheer teal jelly base loaded with green to purple shifting chrome flakes, blue iridescent flakes and silver holographic flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

I only needed 1 coat of top coat for a smooth finish, but due to flake content – if you do thicker coats, you may need 2 coats as there is a mild texture.

Bettie Pain Polish | Silent Night

Silent Night is a deep blurple jelly base loaded with opalescent purple, blue, pink, gold and red flakes. There seems to be a very subtle scattering of shimmer, but I’m not sure if it’s actually shimmer or itty bitty flake particles. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Grace-full Nail Polish | Candy Cane Kiss

Candy Cane Kiss is a white crelly base with red holographic microglitter, cherry red matte glitter and lime green holographic microglitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The base is crelly, but leans more into creme territory, so opacity was easy to achieve.

The Indie Spectrum | Christmas 2019 Box

This is a beautifully done box with some incredible beautiful shades within it. I had no application issues and really the only things I touched on were which might need 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish.
