One more post tonight before I head off to bed! This is fairly new to me, so I’m going to try to get all the info right, but if there is a key part I missed, please let me know! I have 3 items for The Charity Box for September 2020!

The Charity Box has been around for a little bit, but I think it was a trio of polishes/items sold as a box. A portion of proceeds are donated to a different charity each month. Then it was expanded on, and now there will be 10 makers involved each month and a theme, and of course… a charity! Unlike before though, this will be a la carte style instead of a box. You can pick and choose what you’d like to purchase.

The September theme is Fall Festival, and the charity is Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation. As with all charity items I receive, I will be making a private donation to Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation.

I have 3 polishes to share – Anchor & Heart Lacquer, Fair Maiden Polish and Rogue Lacquer. These and more will be available from September 10th – September 19th. Links will be at the bottom of the post.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer | McIntosh Nosh

Inspiration: Apple Picking

Description: McIntosh Nosh is an reddish orange jelly base loaded with green to gold to orange shifting shimmer in different particle sizes, so some look like itty bitty shimmers and others look like micro flecks, plus gold to green to red to violet iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade is like smack dab between being red and being orange. Against my skin tone it leans more into orange territory, but in the bottle it leans more red. I suspect it is my skin tone swaying it, but it pretty much can be a reddish orange or an orangish red. It’s that difficult to decipher which is the dominant shade.

Fair Maiden Polish | Autumn Morning Mist

Inspiration: Autumn Mornings

Description: Autumn Morning Mist is a smoky violet tinted base with red to blue to violet to gold shifting shimmer and flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The first coat was surprisingly sheer. It built up nicely, but I expected it to be darker based on the bottle, but was pleasantly surprised when it had a hazy/smokey quality to it. It lets the flakes and shimmer within build up the opacity.

Rogue Lacquer | UNBE-LEAF-ABLE

Inspiration:

Description: UNBE-LEAF-ABLE is a purple linear holographic base loaded with magenta to copper to gold multichrome shimmer and red micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
