Happy Friday! I have 4 items for The Charity Box April 2021 to share, and the inspiration this month is Art Glass!

The Charity Box has been around for a bit, but I think it was a trio of polishes/items sold as a box to start and a portion of proceeds are donated to a different charity each month. Then it was expanded on, and now there will be 15-20 items involved each month and a theme, and of course… a charity! Unlike before though, this will be a la carte style instead of a box. You can pick and choose what you’d like to purchase.

The April Charity Box shop opened yesterday and  $1 of every item sold this month will be donated to the Autistic Women & Nonbinary Network. There is also a link so you can make a personal donation if you wish to, but don’t plan on purchasing.

As usual, since these are charity items, I will be making a private donation to the Autistic Women & Nonbinary Network.

Anchor & Heart Lacquer | Barnacle Buff

Inspiration: A photo taken by the maker in Atlantic City of gorgeous ornate glass chandeliers.

Description: Barnacle Buff is a sugar scrub with safflower oil to help soften skin. It gently exfoliates hands and cuticles, but can be used almost anywhere on the body.

The scent is Cashmere Silk, which is a creamy french vanilla with sandalwood, patchouli and musk, accented by rose, violet, apricot, and creamy coconut milk.

There is also blue to purple skin safe shimmer flecks mixed in.

Esmaltes da Kelly | Jellyfish

Inspiration: Inspired by art glass jellyfish

Description: Jellyfish is a lilac purple linear holographic base, with additional aurora pigment that shifts green to pink. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Red Eyed Lacquer | Heart of Glass (Magnetic)

Inspiration: Inspired by the glass chandeliers at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City

Description: Heart of Glass is a light teal crelly base with pink to orange to gold shifting magnetic pigment, as well as purple to blue shifting shimmer

This is magnetic but photos make it look fairly subtle. It is more obvious in person.

Treo Lacquer | Mr. Murrine

Inspiration: Mr. Murrine was inspired by the outstanding murrine glasswork by artist David Patchen.

Description: Mr. Murrine is an ocean green crelly base with blue shimmer, as well as iridescent and ultra chrome chameleon flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is greener in person.
