The older I get, the more complicated skincare seems to be. My bathroom is pretty much a war zone of various skincare products I just HAD to have because of the claims that they made. Some work, some didn’t. I remember at the high point, I had a 9 step nightly routine and another 5 step routine in the morning.

Yet my skin STILL looked the same.

When I heard that LaFlore was a simple 3 step system, I had to try it. While my daily life routine is anything but simple, I wanted my skincare routine to be.

You read that right – a simple 3 step system! The LaFlore system contains a Probiotic Cleanser, A Probiotic Concentrated Serum and a Probiotic Daily Defense Moisturizer. Simple, easy and clean.

We’ll get into each individual product in a moment, but first let’s talk about LaFlore as a whole.

LaFlore’s proprietary Probiotic Technology uses only active biomolecules at clinical strengths along with a synergistic blend of natural ingredients to achieve a state of skin equilibrium. By harnessing the power of probiotics, LaFlore works with your own flora, the microbes that live on the skin and enhances the skin’s defense system to protect it from threats like environmental toxins as well as the multitude of products used on it daily.

LaFlore’s ingredients allow skin to breath again by increasing cellular oxygenation. When skin is functioning at optimal levels, collagen and elastin synthesis occur, and skin renewal and barrier functions are also improved as is one’s complexion.

Best of all, LaFlore’s products are plant based, organic, cruelty free and free of parabens, sulfates, irritants and bleach, mineral oil, DEA, Propylene Glycol and Diazolidinyl Urea Formaldehyde.  They do contain 2 natural brighteners though to enhance your skins appearance, which my dull skin loves. The Probiotic Moisturizer has pearls added to give an instant gratification effect and soon, the moisturizer begins to even the skin tone.  The Probiotic Serum also has a brightening effect that happens at the on a cellular level by reducing the melanin and creates the even skin tone as well.

Now let’s take a look at each product.

LaFlore™ Probiotic Cleanser – This mild cleanser is infused with clinical strength ingredients like Perilla Seed Oil, Luteolin, Terpens and Phenols for natural exfoliation that helps skin hydration, circulation and cell renewal.  The Cleanser should be applied to dry skin and can be used as a cleanser or used a mask for up to one minute or used as an exfoliator with a washcloth. Rinse with warm water.

I’m one of those people who NEEDS an exfoliator, so I was pleasantly surprised when I didn’t need one with this particular cleanser. In one step I get the freshness and smoothness that usually took a mild cleanser and exfoliator to achieve in the past.

LaFlore™ Serum Concentrate – This serum includes Aloe, Hemp seed oil, Sea Buckthorn fruit oil, St. John’s oil, Avocado, Jojoba and Squalane and Beta Carotene to bring back balance to skin and allows it to rest and heal, while increasing cell communication, calming inflammation and boosting the immune system. The Serum concentrate can also be used as a spot treatment for blemishes or to help calm rosacea.

While I don’t suffer from rosacea, I do have that light patchy redness and this serum helped calm my skin down a ton. In turn, I’m not using as many cosmetic products and color corrector to hide the redness.

LaFlore™ Probiotic Daily Defense Moisturizer – This lightweight moisturizer works to strengthen the skin’s flora, increase cellular metabolism and enhance collagen synthesis for a stronger skin barrier to fight off skin stress from environmental aggressors, cosmetics, cleansers and soaps thanks to ingredients like, Aloe, Pycnogenol, Bisabolol Oil, Pomegranate Seed Oil, Vitamin D3 and Hyaluronic Acid.

The final step is the moisturizer, which I’m generally finicky about. I have combination skin and it’s incredibly difficult to find a moisturizer that combats both the oil and dry patches. This lightweight moisturizer helps clear up the dry spots, but since it’s lighter, it doesn’t make the oily areas go into overdrive either.

Now here’s the other amazing part. I’ve always been told to wash my face twice daily, once in the morning and once at night. With LaFlore, they recommend ONLY using the 3 steps at night. This method allows for the soothing and refreshing ingredients of the Probiotic Cleanser to wash the day away and cleanse the skin for the Serum Concentrate to be applied. The Serum Concentrate works overnight to replenish good flora so you don’t want to wash it away. In the morning, splash face with warm water and apply the Probiotic Daily Defense Moisturizer, which will protect skin throughout the day.

Interesting right?

I do use a small amount of the moisturizer again after my morning shower, but I’ve only been using the cleanser and serum at night. The only reason I reapply the moisturizer is because I splash my face in the shower to help wake up a bit.

So far my skin has been loving the LaFlore products, and my simplistic mindset for routine has been loving it even more.
