September 2021 | Night At The Arcade
Happy Tuesday! It’s the 14th of the month which means Polished Gamers Box for September 2021 opens tomorrow, and this month’s theme is Night at the Arcade!
I have 9 items to share this month! 8 are new to the shop and 1 is a Respawn (which means it was previously released and coming back now)
As always – the Polished Gamers Box shop will be from the 15th through the 20th.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base and Vibrant Vinyls Fast & Hard Top Coat. I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues, but the Vibrant Vinyls Top Coat is a PR item sent to me for review. I do however admin for both Fan Groups for those 2 brands.
I do use artificial lighting for my photos. I get the most done at night, so I swatch a lot at night. My current setup uses GlamCor Pro LIghts and I use the Ultra X Model and this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

Description: Flying Puck is a vibrant, medium blue jelly with hot reddish orange dog glitters and hex glitters mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: A photo of an arcade
Description: The Arcade Inspired Necklace is a 1″ diameter pendant with an 18″ long chain. The cabochon is painted with 1422 Designs “Cruisin’ In My ATV” which is described as a dark purple jelly polish with matte aqua hex glitters in 2 different sizes. There is a beautiful shift to the polish that isn’t quite subtle, but it’s also not super loud.
The pendant is made from a zinc alloy metal and is lead and nickel free. The chain is stainless steel. The cabochon is glass.

Lemming Lacquer | Ms. Pac-Man If You’re Nasty (Magnetic)
Inspiration: Ms Pac-Man
Description: Ms. Pac-Man If You’re Nasty is a pink to gold to green magnetic multichrome with gold to green shifting shimmer and holo flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I only magnetized middle and ring fingers for these photos, and I waited several minutes for the line to spread naturally a bit.

MTK Design | Flynn’s (Magnetic)
Inspiration: Flynn’s Arcade Sign from Tron (Movie)
Description: Flynn’s is a deep orange jelly base loaded with copper magnetic pigment and magenta to copper to gold magnetic pigment, as well as pink to copper to gold iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I only magnetized middle and ring nails and left index and pinky unmagnetized. I also waiting several minutes for the magnetic line to spread a bit.

Inspiration: An old arcade game I like.
Description: Phoenix is a tealish green jelly base with magenta to red to copper to gold to green to blue shifting large particle shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Inspiration: Neon Light Picture
Description: Game Night is a neon purple crelly base with blue to purple duochrome pigment. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This is a hard shade to photograph and I feel like the base is too light in my photos. But it’s a beautiful bright purple base

Sweet Heart Polish | Flip The Score
Inspiration: When classic arcade game scores would “flip” meaning that the score went back to 0.
Description: Flip The Score is a green to taupe to mauve based linear holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
