Happy Saturday! I have some of the goodies in the Polished Gamers Box for January 2023 to share, and this month the theme is Mass Effect!
It’s been a few months since I did a Polished Gamers Box post, so lets go over the basics. Polished Gamers Box is now an every other month collab instead of a monthly collab. They did take December off too though (last box was in October) so it just feels like it’s been a lot longer since we’ve seen it around here.

Basically each box is themed with some sort of gaming – might specifically be a game (like this month is Mass Effect) or it can be broader like board games or retro games.
The box is open from the 15th of the month until the 20th. Then it closes – totals are sent to makers and it can take about 3-4 weeks before shipping starts up since makers have to get their total sold to HQ to prep for shipping.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I used Vibrant Vinyls Fast & Hard QDTC. I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues and the top coats were sent as pr or as gifts.
My lighting set up was changed recently. So now, since I use artificial lighting due to my day job, my new set up involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

Black Dahlia Lacquer | Liara
Inspiration: Liara is inspired by Dr. Liara T’Soni, an asari researcher who studies Prothean tech and culture.
Description: Liara is a violet-leaning blurple jelly base with blue and red Aurora flakes, blue metallic flakes and shifting iridescent flakes that shift blue to green to purple to pink. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Description: Universe In Conflict is a blackened smokey amethyst base with a subtle blue to turquoise shimmer, as well as purple, pink and blue micro glitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
The maker sent mini size to swatchers, but customers will receive full sized bottles (15 ml)

Description: The polish and liquid lip are made with the same pigments as the shadow – so the descriptions are all the same. Universe In Conflict is a blackened smokey amethyst base with a subtle blue to turquoise shimmer, as well as purple, pink and blue micro glitters.
Overall this shade is lighter on the lid than I expected, which I loved since I wear lighter shades anyway most of the time. Application was nice and easy.

Glam Angel Cosmetics | Universe in Conflict (Liquid Lip)
Inspiration: Mass Effect Space Poster
Description: Liquid Lip feels like a non sticky gloss but gives the coverage of lipstick. This once does have micro glitters so theres a light grit feeling from it, but it’s not uncomfortable. This has a really nice doe foot applicator thats flatter at the edges which allows the ability to line lips before filling them in.
