Press Samples for the Polished Gamers Box

I’m still pushing through this weekends releases, and next up we’re going to look at 4 of the samples I received for the Polished Gamers Box for September 2020 themed Kingdom Hearts!

This one kind of snuck up on me, and for some reason in my head I thought it was next weekend – but here we are… and at least I got them done in time! The box officially releases the 15th, so you have a few more days to go. In just a bit Delanie of Fat Cat Pawlished will be going live to show off the entire Polished Gamers selection for the month!

So for the Kingdom Hearts shop – I received goodies from Cynthia of Alter Ego Body Care Products, Daniela of By Dany Vianna, Rachel of Rogue Lacquer and Amanda of Treo Lacquer. I already have a few of next months items in as well, so I’ll be working on those in a few days.

Lets jump on into the swatches. I will have cap and pricing within each description, then I’ll have links to shop the Polished Gamers shop at the bottom of the post!

Alter Ego Body Care Products | Search for Hearts Of Gold

Inspiration: The advertisement showing the heart shaped moon

Description: Search for Hearts of Gold is a clear base with gold holographic and metallic yellow microglitters. I used 1 coat over black as well as 3 thin coats alone to show it both ways.

The glitters aren’t super densely packed, so even with 3 thin coats brushed on, it wasn’t full coverage. If you did the sponge method – you could easily get it full coverage though.

Will dry with some texture, 2 coats of top coat will smooth it over.

Inspiration: Baymax

Description: Healing Hugs is a bright tomato red crelly base with blue micro flakes mixed in. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. Application was buttery smooth and this shade has incredible pigmentation.

Rogue Lacquer | King Mickey

Inspiration: Mickey Mouse from Kingdom hearts! He is the king who holds the key!

Description: King Mickey is a black crelly base with brushed gold metallic micro flakes, micro ruby red flakes and icry blue shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

While it is a crelly formula, pigmentation is really nice and I reached full opacity in 2 easy coats.

Treo Lacquer | Queen Minnie

Inspiration: “There’s no need to be so formal. Just call me Minnie.” Minnie Mouse regards herself as equal to her citizens, and is very humble in her role as queen of Disney Castle.

Description: Queen Minnie is a clear based glitter bomb! This is packed with pink, black, gold, purple and holographic glitters ranging from micro to medium sizes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

It will dry down with texture, so you may need 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish.

Also – I did this photo set a few weeks ago not realizing more would be sending… and I just realized I changed backgrounds in between this and doing the rest. Oops. I like things to be uniform, so that made my eye twitch a little, but I’ll get over it.

A beautiful little selection right here. I had no issues with any of the polishes and I kinda love that I did 2 glitter bombs and 2 flake crellies.
