I meant to post this earlier tonight, but then realized it’s April 12th and my taxes weren’t done yet. Weird how things change and how easy it is to forget filing dates when you no longer work in an accounting firm. Then I finished my taxes and found out that the IRS extended the filing date to May 17th this year. At least they are done though!
Tonight we’re going to look at the polishes I received for the Polished Gamers Box April 2021 which has an Elder Scrolls theme!
I have 6 polishes to share this round!
This month’s shop will open on the 15th as always and will remain open until the 20th. Actual time frames and links will be at the bottom of the post.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base and Vibrant Vinyls Fast & Hard Top Coat. I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues, but the Vibrant Vinyls Top Coat is a PR item sent to me for review. I do however admin for both Fan Groups for those 2 brands.
I do use artificial lighting for my photos. I get the most done at night, so I swatch a lot at night. My current setup uses GlamCor Pro LIghts and I use the Ultra X Model and this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).
Let’s take a look!
Alter Ego Body Care Products | Warrior
Inspiration: Female warrior in the Elder Scrolls game
Description: Warrior is a plummy purple with a copper to gold shift and gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Price: $10.50 | Cap: None
Atomic Polish | The Wild Hunt
Inspiration: The Wild Hunt of Elder Scrolls Online
Description: The Wild Hunt is a medium green jelly base with lime to green shimmer, as well as green to blue iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Price: $12.00 | Cap: None
Lollipop Posse Lacquer | Frostcrag Spire
Inspiration: Inspired by a pre-dawn image of Frostcrag Spire.
Description: Frostcrag Spire is a grey jelly base with black to red multichrome pigment, as well as pink to purple shifting iridescent flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Price: $13.00 | Cap: None
My Indie Polish | Background Noise
Inspiration: I’ve always loved the calming grey backgrounds in this and other games too.
Description: Background Noise is a white crelly bsae with charcoal microglitters and dusty blue flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Price: $12.50 | Cap: None
Sweet Heart Polish | Arrow To The Knee
Inspiration: The NPC from Elder Scrolls
Description: Arrow To The Knee is a dark chocolate brown base with silver and copper microglitters packed in. Dries down with a slight texture, but 1 coat of top coat should smooth it. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Price: $8.50 | Cap: None
Treo Lacquer | Pink Trees Please!
Inspiration: Inspired by the beautiful sakura trees available to decorate with in Elder Scrolls online.
Description: Pink Trees Please! is a lavender tinged baby pink crelly base with iridescent glitter in shreds and hexes ranging from micro to medium. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This polish does have a slightly thicker consistency. It’s not difficult to deal with, but if you prefer thinner polishes you may need to add a few drops of thinner to suit your preference. It’s not unusable thick – just slightly thicker than normal for Treo’s formula.
Price: $12.00 | Cap: 80
Polished Gamers Box April 2021 | Elder Scrolls
I’m actually not super familiar with Elder Scrolls. I know Nick does play it with some of his long time gaming friends – however between blogging and the other games I play, I never had time to really get into it. One day I’ll give it a whirl though… one day.
