Polish Pickup November 2023 | Fairytales & Folklore

Happy Friday! There’s only 1 more month left in 2023 for Polish Pickup and I cannot believe how quick this year flew by. Today we’ll be looking at several offerings from the Polish Pickup November 2023 shop and the theme is Fairytales & Folklore this month!
I currently have 49 items and a 50th is on the way, but it was sent a little late so it won’t be here until early next week. I will add it in when it arrives.
As usual – you can check it all out on my YouTube channel – I swatch each polish, show their special effect (if any) and sort of demo each product so you can see the consistency or how it is used.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I did Glisten & Glow Top Coat (sent as PR). For all textured polishes, I did use Glisten & Glow Glitter Grabber (PR) and Glisten & Glow top coat over it. For matte photos I used Anchor & Heart Lacquer Sea Glass (Gifted)
For my lighting set up I use artificial lighting due to my day job, my set up involves 2 Neatfi XL Lamps from Amazon (affiliate link) as well as this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).
For my nails – they are Apres Gel X nails throughout this post, and the style is Extra Short Stiletto.

Description: Through the ages salt has played a major part in alot of folklore! Salt has been a symbol of purity, power and protection through the ages. While Manmade by J&S may not be salty this time, they are back with a Salty Pouch! This is a small pouch that can be used for make up, snacks, markers, or just about anything.

Inspiration: Inspired by Atlantis
Description: Da Balm-er is a cross between a balm and body butter. It’s creamy like a body butter but has a more emollient feel like a balm would. It’s an intensive treatment you can use anywhere (I love it on cuticles of course) but a little goes a long way. If you use too much – it will feel very oily (like a balm would) so start with a little and build up if you need more.
Lost City is a custom blend of Pineapple, vanilla, peaches, bananas, sweet coconut milk, Fresh seaspray, green cactus, sea moss and warm driftwood.
This has a nice, refreshing fruity and fresh type scent. It’s not overly sweet but doesn’t lean too far into the outdoorsy fresh type scent either. Very pleasing to the nose.

Inspiration: Inspired by Fairy Tales and Folklore
Description: Deluxe Vegan Cuticle Balm is a creamy and nourishing balm made with unrefined organic shea butter, skin loving oils and kosher non GMO soy wax. This is an intensive cuticle treatment and one I’ve been using for months in various scents. It’s incredible.
Snow Fairies – a fruity accord with notes of bubblegum, cherry, banana and pear mingled with a touch of musk, vanilla and sweet candy floss. Inspired by the LUSH scent.
If you don’t know the LUSH scent – to me it smells like cotton candy scented gum with vanilla added. It’s sweet but not overly so. The musk and vanilla tone it down to make it less sticky sweet.

VAPID LACQUER | NAIL ELIXIR IN MISCHEVIOUS FAE FOLK (PAID PR)
Inspiration: Inspired by the Fae, and all the winged, and chaotic antics they get up to.
Description: Nail Elixir is basically a nail and cuticle oil. This Elixir is Vapid’s blend of oils that come together to create a truly one of a kind nail and cuticle oil. It has weight to the oil itself, it’s enough to truly hydrate the toughest of cuticles and driest of nails while still being able to soak effortlessly into the skin. Once absorbed it’s not greasy and can be rubbed all over the hand for moisture.
This oil contains tamanu oil, a viscus oil that has a light brown sugar scent, this does come through in the scent straight from the bottle. Once it dries down, you will only smell the fragrance left behind. Vapid’s elixir is also heavy in Jojoba oil allowing it to soak into the nail on a molecular level, as jojoba oil is able to easily penetrate the nail and provide and carry other nutrients with it.

A sweet sugar cookie scent, heavy on the cookie and sugary frosted fantasies. Sweetly delightful with a touch of spice.
