I have a new Paint Box Polish collection to share with you! This is the On The Hook Collection and it will be the final collection done under the brand name ‘Paint Box Polish’!

Paint Box Polish will be rebranding, so it will be the same great polish under a new name! I’ll go over that more at the end of the post, as well as a code to save 15% off your Paint Box Polish order!

The Paint Box Polish On The Hook Collection was inspired by Pam’s husbands love of fishing! He’s an avid fisherman and always tells her that certain fish would make awesome polish colors, so finally they made it happen! Pam’s husband designed and named three of the four polishes in this collection too, so it was a joint effort.

I was actually excited to see this collection. My dad was an avid fisherman as well, and actually lived on a boat and fished pretty much every day. He worked in the bait shop at the marina his boat was docked at and often worked weekends helping out on a charter boat that took people out shark fishing as well (I went a few times too!)  As a child, I was also an avid little wannabe fisherman.

Unfortunately, my father passed away when I was 8 months pregnant with my son. I actually hadn’t seen him in many years due to addiction problems he had, but I still remembered and cherished those times we fished together when I was younger. All his fishing gear is in one of our storage closets here in our home too. I couldn’t even tell you what pole is for what fish anymore – but I do have it all and it’s special to me.

Anyways, enough about me, let’s move onto this fab collection. The first 3 polishes are Obie’s (Pam’s husband) creations, the last one is Pam’s! I’ll also post photos of the respective fish so you can see how well these polishes are modeled after them!

Bass That Ass Up

Fishing For A Tan

Fishing For A Tan is Pam’s contribution to the collection! This is a blue to pink to red multichrome that shows some green and gold at extreme angles. It also has holo scattered in. This isn’t after a fish, but Pam’s favorite swimsuit is this shade of blue and purple, and when she goes on fishing trips with her husband, she’s usually hoping to catch a tan!

I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Paint Box Polish On The Hook Collection Overview

Mr. Paint Box Polish did a fab job creating the polishes inspired by certain fish, and of course Pam’s is beautiful and I kinda wanna see this swimsuit now!

I had no application issues and my favorites are Bass That Ass Up (both for color, name and likeness to the fish!) and The White Stripers.

This is a limited edition collection and will only be available during the month of May.

Paint Box Polish will be opening under a new brand name in June and it will be Stella Chroma! For updates, sign up for their newsletter and join the Paint Box Polish Facebook Fan page!
