Ready for another Fall collection? They are rolling out fast! Tonight I have the ORLY Fall 2016 Mulholland Collection to share with you!
For Fall, ORLY took inspiration from one of California’s most scenic roadways – Mulholland Drive. Mulholland Drive is home to some of the most exclusive and most expensive homes in the world. Many of these homes are set back from the road and offer outstanding views of downtown Los Angeles. The road is featured in several movies, songs, and novels, so I would actually be incredibly surprised if someone had never heard of Mulholland.
The ORLY Mulholland collection consists of 6 shades with a nice Fall feel and a variety of finishes.
Let’s take a look!
ORLY Mansion Lane
ORLY Mansion Lane is a medium greige creme. In some lighting it looks slate grey, in some it looks beige, but it’s right in between for me – so greige! I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
ORLY Cahuenga Pass
Cahuenga Pass is a neon poppy orange creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
ORLY Hillside Hideout
Hillside Hideout is a medium mauve creme with green to gold shifting shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
ORLY Million Dollar Views
Million Dollar Views is a dusty rose gold foil finish with added gold shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
ORLY Meet Me At Mulholland
Meet Me At Mulholland is a sheer, warm toned brown jelly base with plum shimmer and copper microflecks mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
ORLY Party In The Hills
I saved my favorite for last! Party In The Hills is a black and gold full coverage microglitter. I used 2 coats and a 2 coats of glossy top coat to smooth out the finish.
Orly Fall 2016 Mulholland Collection Overview
ORLY did a nice job creating a Fall collection, and the addition of a neon shade helps transition from Summer to Fall. At first I thought the neon was a bit out of place, but once I looked at the collection as a whole, the neon is a deeper color so it still works. I had no application issues with the shades and the only one that needed 3 coats was Meet Me At Mulholland due to it being a sheer base.
My top pick from the collection is Party In The Hills, but I also enjoyed Meet Me At Mulholland and Hillside Hideout.
The ORLY Mullholland collection will be available in Lacquer, Gel FX and ORLY Epix formulas.
Sow hat did you think – will you be picking up any of the shades from the ORLY Fall 2016 Mulholland Collection?
