Brighten Up & Shredded Toppers Collections

This weekend went by so quickly… and I didn’t get as much done as I would have liked, but I do have the Night Owl Lacquer Brighten Up & Shredded Toppers Collections done and ready to share!

Originally this was 2 collections (and still is) but there were 5 polishes in each collection. I had some issues with one of the shredded toppers, and after discussing some issues I was having with it with Lindsay – she decided to cut it. The issue wasn’t a huge one, but it was more of an annoying one and while it was beautiful – I do think she made the right choice. We are still left with 4 wonderful shredded toppers though!

Both of these collections will be releasing on May 15th, so get ready!

Let’s take a look! We will start with the Brighten Up collection and then move into the Shredded Toppers!

Night Owl Lacquer | Cheerful

Cheerful is a warm, sunny yellow creme with rose gold shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | Delightful

Delightful is a neon green creme with rose gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This is my favorite of the collection!

Night Owl Lacquer | Blissful

Blissful is a bright, warm purple with green shimmer. The green shimmer is stronger in appearance in person. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | Playful

Playful is a neon pink creme with aqua shimmer. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. This is brighter in person.

Night Owl Lacquer | Hopeful

Hopeful is a bright teal creme with purple shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade is a slightly deeper shade in person with more green.

Night Owl Lacquer | Shredded White

Shredded White is a clear base with white shreds. I used 1 coat over Playful and a black creme.

Night Owl Lacquer | Shredded Black

Shredded Black is a clear base with black shred glitter. I used 1 coat over Cheerful and Anchor & Heart Lacquer Mermaid Tears.

Night Owl Lacquer | Shredded Gold

Shredded Gold is a clear base with gold metallic shred glitters. I used 1 coat over Hopeful and a black creme.

Night Owl Lacquer | Shredded Silver

Shredded Silver is a clear base with metallic silver shred glitter. I used 1 coat over Blissful and a black creme for these photos.

Night Owl Lacquer | Brighten Up & Shredded Toppers Collections

This is a fun and colorful collection, and I like that the Shredded Toppers were kept more neutral which kind of balanced out the Brighten Up collection. I had no application issues with any of these, and the shred glitters didn’t need any “fishing” and came out easily.

That was the main reason the 5th Shredded Topper was cut – they were heavier shreds and even “fishing” for them wasn’t pulling many out. It was a lot of work for very little reward, even after leaving upside down for a bit.
