Polish Pickup 1980’s
This is my biggest Polish/Indie Pickup review to date, minus the times I was the official Blogger of the Month. Right now I have 71 items to share for the May 2019 Polish Pickup 1980’s theme! My USPS console just showed that I have 9 packages being delivered tomorrow – and I think 1 more PPU item is in there (that I know of) so I’ll be adding what that one (Delush Polish) tomorrow when it arrives.
My tax season ended April 15th, so most of these photos took place between the 16th and this morning. Luckily from now on I should be a little more ahead without the extra work hours and days.
Okay so the theme this month is 1980’s! I was born in 1982 and even though I have momnesia and my memory isn’t as sharp since I had Jacob… I do remember the later 80’s and a lot of the toys and such from back then. Nick was born in 1990, so a lot of things mentioned here – he doesn’t know about or doesn’t care. Probably the latter.

Description: I actually forgot all about these bad boys until I opened these. I remember not having them, so I had to knot my shirt on the side… and then my mom got me a few for Christmas and they were in my stocking. Then I was cool. Briefly.
For those not aware – these were all the rage in the 80’s and you threaded your shirt through them to tighten them around your waste. Or you could be “racy” and use it in the middle all the way up to show your midriff.

Baroness X | Acetone Antidote – Captain Crunch Berries
Inspiration: Baroness X loved scratch and sniff stickers and fruity cereal when she was an 80s child. So a mix between those two!
Description: This month’s Acetone Antidote is a dupe of Captain Crunch Berries Cereal and it’s dead on accurate! I love the smell and it really does smell like the cereal. Added bonus? You’ll also get a crunch berry cereal scented scratch n sniff sticker.
Recommended Use: Add the entire vial to 6-8oz of acetone. You can add more or less, these are just suggestions for optimal scent and protection from acetone. Once the AA is added to your acetone just shake the bottle once to mix it each time you change polish. There’s no need to keep shaking during the removal of a full mani with our formulation, it will stay blended long enough to remove your polish.
Note: Some orders will receive a purple ombre glass vial like I got, others will get a red ombre glass vial.

May 2019 Polish Pickup | 1980’s
I’m not fully done yet – I know I have another polish or two arriving this week that I’ll pop into the post once they are done.
This was a super fun month and brought back a lot of nostalgia for me since the 80’s were my childhood years. There’s a great mix of colors and scents and products going on and I really enjoyed all of it.

It’s so hard to choose because I LOVED the 80s and there are so many goodies this month to choose from. I believe my #1 pick this month must be the KB Shimmer The Brite Stuff. I love all things blue and white together, and am a big collector of Delft and Blue Willow. I also love bright colors, so this one really speaks to me.
