The year is almost over, and I’m so excited to see what 2020 brings us! Tonight I have the Makers Dozen January 2020 Celebrities theme to share with you!

We’ll go over what the Makers Dozen is about and how it works:

Makers Dozen has 12 set makers each month. Those makers are:
Jior Couture, Sassy Pants Polish, Zombie Claw Polish, PI Colors, Copacetic Cosmetics, Baby Girl Lacquer, LynB Designs, Leesha’s Lacquers, NeVerMind Polish, Alter Ego Nail Enamel, Ms. Sparkle, and Inspurrrations. 

Usually there is a guest maker, but this month there isn’t.

Each month will have a new theme, January is Celebrities. Each maker is given a color to work with, and each month the color for each maker rotates. So if a maker does purple for July, they won’t do purple as their main color scheme again for 13 months as it rotates through. While each maker is given a color, they have creative freedom on how to use and incorporate that color. It can be within any shade range of that particular color or a prominent element within the polish.

If you noticed I called this a collaboration and not a shop. There is no set “shop” for this. Each polish is available in each individual maker’s store. Only 40 bottles of each polish will be made and they will be available in each store until their 40 bottles sell out.

I only have 11 this month. Ms Sparkles either ran out of time to send, or her polish is stuck in customs or the mail system somewhere.

Jior Couture | Kenyan Queen

Colors: Brown

Kenyan Queen is a chocolate brown base with gold shimmer and ultrachrome chameleon microflakes that flash blue, teal, purple, and orange. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Sassy Pants Polish | Groutfit

Color: Grey

Groutfit is a pale grey crelly base with white and silver micro sliver glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy topcoat for these photos.

Color: White

All Sexed Up is a white crelly base with pink to gold to green iridescent micro flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Color: Green

Phasers on Stun.078 is a deep green base filled with holographic pink glitter and violet pink green iridescent flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Copacetic Cosmetics | Fame

Color: Magenta

Fame is an opal magenta based polish with silver holographic lightning shaped glitter. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Baby Girl Lacquer | Iconic!

Color: Clear

Iconic! is a clear base with a soft scattered holographic effect, as well as a mixture of micro glitters and shards in black, turquoise, purple, blue and red. I used 1 coat over a pale pinky beige.

Color: Red

Red Hot Ri Ri is a red jelly base with magic holo flakes and red metallic flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The Purple One is a warm violet jelly base loaded with blue shimmer, holo microglitters and blue to violet flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Color: Yellow

All That Glitters Is Not Gold is a warm golden yellow with holo micro glitters and flakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Makers Dozen January 2020 | Celebrities

Unfortunately – this is the final month for Makers Dozen. I greatly appreciate the opportunity to work with them on this project, and maybe in the future they will revisit it and start it up again. For now though, it’s coming to a close. For all the makers who worked with me from inception to now – thank you.

Each individual price is shown within each listing as well as the shop link to grab that polish from. You have the whole month to shop, but there are only 40 bottles of each shade. Once 40 bottles sell, that’s it. If you missed a color from a previous Makers Dozen month, you can browse my posts ( I have all of them!) and see if any are left to pick up.
