I’m getting closer to being completely caught up, and it’s a good feeling! I’m starting to finally feel a little better as well, but something is lingering like it can’t figure out if it wants to go away or come back full force. For now though, I’m okay.
Right now we’re going to take a look at the Lollipop Posse Lacquer The First Lines Collection!
The Lollipop Posse Lacquer The First Lines Collection is a 5 piece collection inspired by the first lines from Karen’s favorite literature. As an avid reader – I love the idea of this collection. I’ve always been huge into reading so anything literature related is a love of mine.
Along those lines – if you have any book recommendations, leave them in the comments below! I’m always looking for new stuff to read, and I don’t have a preferred genre. I read EVERYTHING.
Let’s jump in!
Perfectly Normal, Thank You Very Much
“Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much.”
― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
Perfectly Normal, Thank You Very Much is a light grey crelly base with red sparks, holo flakes and pink to gold aurora shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
When The Drugs Began To Take Hold
“We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold.”
― Hunter S. Thompson, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
When The Drugs Began To Take Hold is a gorgeous ultramarine blue crelly with red to gold and blue to purple aurora shimmer, as well as copper to red to gold to green shifting iridescent chameleon flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Widely Regarded As A Bad Move
“The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.”
― Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
Widely Regarded As A Bad Move is possibly my favorite shade of the collection. You know you made a good green when I say it’s my favorite. It’s incredibly rare.
This is an electric green crelly base packed with red to gold aurora shifting shimmer, holo flecks and red to gold to pink shifting ultrachrome chameleon flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
The Clocks Were Striking Thirteen
“It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen.
― George Orwell, 1984
The Clocks Were Striking Thirteen is a metallic bronze crelly base packed with diamond flake, holo flakes and iridescent chameleon flakes that have flashes of neon green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
It Was A Pleasure To Burn
“It was a pleasure to burn.
It was a special pleasure to see things eaten, to see things blackened and changed.”
― Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451
It Was A Pleasure To Burn is a medium rose pink crelly base with green shifting shimmer, holo flake, and iridescent chameleon glitters in various sizes that shift between red, gold and green. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
This shade will have a bit of glittery texture due to the slightly larger glitters present. 2 coats of top coat will smooth it all over though.
Lollipop Posse Lacquer The First Lines Collection
I really like the concept of this collection and found it a unique way to be inspired by books. We’ve all seen collections that were based on literary characters, famous quotes or intense scenes – but I don’t think I’ve personally seen a collection inspired by the first lines of the books and I do hope Lollipop Posse Lacquer expands on this.
I had no application issues with the shades mentioned other than It Was A Pleasure To Burn might need 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish.
Price: $12.00 Each | $60.00 Full Collection Until The End of July
These shades have already released, plus you can still pick up the July Fan Favorite Polish Pickup shade from the Lollipop Posse Lacquer Shop if you haven’t already.
