Happy Tuesday! We’re a couple days early with the Little Box of Horrors… finally! We have 14 of the May 2023 items to share, and the theme this month is 70’s and 80’s Horror!

Okay so a little about Little Box of Horrors… This will be a bi-monthly collaboration shop that will consist of 25-35 makers. Each bi-monthly shop will have either a horror, sci-fi, thriller, supernatural, paranormal, or mystery like theme – and the products will then be inspired by that theme.
The shop opens on the 18th and will remain open until the 30th, so you have a decently long shopping window.
For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, and for the glossy photos I used Sweet & Sour Lacquer Gloss Sauce. I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues and the top coat was sent as a gift from the maker.

This is a non sticky formula and glides on easily for application. I used 1 coat on the lip and got full coverage. It is not a matte or stay put type liquid lip, so after eating or drinking – you will most likely need to reapply.

Lemming Lacquer | Dream Warriors
Inspiration: Inspired by one of my top favorite horror movies Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. Freddy is my favorite ’80s slasher killer and I’ve seen all of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. This polish is inspired by the illustrated movie poster for the third movie Nightmare On Elm Street: Dream Warriors.
Description: Dream Warriors is a light-medium blue jelly base with microflakes that shift red to orange to gold and holographic microflakes. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Paradox Polish | Another One Bites The Dust Hand Creme
Inspiration: Creepshow! Loved the comics and the movies. My favorite scene is with Stephen King and the alien moss.
Description: Another One Bites The Dust Hand Creme will be available in the scent ‘Summer watermelon and Sugar’
Summer watermelon and sugar smells like a watermelon jolly rancher or blow pop to me. I love it!
The creme itself has a medium thick consistency. It’s not watery or runny, but it’s also not super thick and dense. It soaks in nicely if you use small amounts and gives good hydration. I am keeping mine at work right now to use since I wash and sanitize my hands so much. The scent is on the stronger side too.

Paradox Polish | Killer Klowns From Outer Space Liquid Vibe
Inspiration: The movie Killer Klowns from outer Space
Description: Liquid Vibe is a liquid lip or eye color in a fun twisty tube with a doefoot applicator. This month’s shade shifts iridescent magenta-copper-gold-green-blue.
The formula of these do dry down on the drier side since it is a matte finish, so I suggest a good balm base to keep it a little moist on your lips. These are super shifty and fun to play with.

Inspiration: My favorite vamp movie that was filmed near my hometown Santa Cruz.
Description: The Lost Boys will be a permanent item in the LBH shop! This is an orchid leaning purple jelly base that glows blurple in the dark. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Paradox Polish | Highlander The Quickening Topper
Inspiration: Highlander. This movie meets the sci-fi criteria and is one of my favorites. It has sword fighting and a Queen soundtrack. The quickening was when an immortal gains his opponents power after he defeats him in a sword fight.
Description: Highlander The Quickening Topper is a clear base with a rainbow iridescent mix. I used 1 coat over The Lost Boys, and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Paradox Polish | The Stores Are Open!
Inspiration: Night of the Comet is def a teenage favorite for me when it comes to zombies of the 80s. I loved the two sisters and their different personalities. This polish was inspired by Sams cheerleading outfit.

I only magnetized the middle and ring nails so it could be seen both ways.
