Love At Frost Sight Collection

So… I’ve had these photos done since around the 16th of November. I was cleaning up my desk top and moving finished folders into the “Finished” file… and thought hard about it. I remember sharing photos and videos of some polishes… but I couldn’t remember TYPING the post. November was a bit of a whirlwind and I did almost 250 swatches in JUST the month of November. I scanned through and sure enough – I never typed this post.

Luckily KBShimmer keeps things well stocked.

So now… we’re going to be looking at the KBShimmer Love At Frost Sight Collection!

The KBShimmer Love At Frost Sight Collection is the Winter 2020 collection. For the first time in my (almost) 39 years… I am experiencing my first real Winter. Jacob is absolutely loving it. I’m still on the fence. I’m a California girl who thought you simply grabbed a hoodie when it’s chilly. For the last month I’ve been ordering Winter items like snow boots and a waterproof, winter jacket, wool socks, etc. Nick thinks I’m crazy – but I do not handle cold well.

Jacob got excited about scraping the snow off our cars 2 days ago. That’s how much he’s loving the snow.

Anyways, all of these shades are already released. It started off as a 10 piece collection, but became a 14 piece collection with the addition of 4 new multichromes!

Let’s Jump In!

KBShimmer | Sol Amazing

Sol Amazing is a flake topper, and the flakes shift red to orange to gold to green to aqua. I used 1 coat over Stream On, Stream Away for these photos.

KBShimmer | Love At Frost Sight

My favorite from the collection – Love At Frost Sight! This is a clean base with silver magnetic pigment. You can put this over ANY polish, use a magnet over it and get a silver magnetic effect. It’s a beautiful shade and I love the idea of a magnetic topper!

I used 1 coat of Love At Frost Sight over Stream On, Stream Away

KBShimmer | Baking Spirits Bright

Baking Spirits Bright is a white crelly base with red and green micro to small hex glitters mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | Bearly Awake (Thermal)

Bearly Awake… I screwed up. I didn’t realize it was a thermal until after I swatched it, so I have to redo it.

Bearly Awake is a deep purple (cold) to berry pink (warm) jelly based thermal with pink to orange to indigo shifting flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

My photos only show the cold state.

KBShimmer | Sip Back & Relax

Sip Back & Relax is a deep almost brickish red wine linear holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | Knit Happens

Knit Happens is a warm, orange leaning red jelly base loaded with crimson to orange to gold to lime green shifting flakes, as well as micro holographic flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | Celebrate Good Shine

Celebrate Good Shine is a sheer champagne jelly base loaded with micro and small glitters in copper and gold holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Dries down with a texture, may need 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish.

KBShimmer | Shamash

Shamash is a pale gold base loaded with peach to orange to copper to lime green shifting shimmer and a linear holographic effect. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | How’s It Growing

How’s It Growing is an emerald green jelly base with orange to gold to lime to green shifting flakes and scattered holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | Stay Salty

Stay Salty is a graphite to seafoam green to navy to purple shifting multichrome. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | Dragon On and On

Dragon On and On is a sapphire blue to grape purple to orange to red multichrome. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The shifts were shy for my camera… but in person they are stronger.

KBShimmer | Stream On, Stream Away

Stream On, Stream Away is a deep navy blue creme. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

On first use, I actually flooded my cuticles with this shade… the formula was just a tiny bit runnier than I expected. I left the lid unscrewed for about 24 hours and let it thicken up a bit to get to a consistency that worked for my painted style.

KBShimmer | Much Lava To You

Much Lava To You is a black to graphite to red to orange multichrome with a linear holographic effect. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | Obsidian

Obsidian is Much Lava To You without the linear holographic effect! Obsidian is a black to graphite to red to orange multichrome. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

KBShimmer | Love At Frost Sight Collection

This was already a beautiful collection, so the addition of the 4 new multichromes only elevated it more.

This time around I really enjoyed both toppers – Sol Amazing and Love at Frost Sight, as well as Celebrate Good Shine, Stay Salty and Much Lava To You.

Price: $10.00 – $11.00 Each
