I know, I know – this launch already happened, but after all the hectic stuff going on – I am finally getting my post up! Today I have the KBShimmer Launch Party Collection to share!
On March 15th KBShimmer debuted an all new look! After 10 years in business, they decided it was time to revamp their look with matte black boxes, holographic box print and a new brushed silver logo imprinted on their bottles. Their bath and body goodies have holo print on their labels now!
To debut this new look – KBShimmer released the Launch Party Collection! This is a 9 piece space theme with 8 magnetic multichrome and duochrome polishes, as well as a galaxy holographic topper.
Before we jump into this, I will say that I’m not the best at magnetics since I’m still getting the hang of them, so I didn’t get the clear, crisp lines that I saw some got with these. I do have other magnets I played with and got a clearer line, but for this post I used the provided KBShimmer magnet. Because of my photo and lighting set up, the straight on look makes it harder to see the magnetic effect but you can see it better in person and in the angled closeup photos.
Just A Phase
Just A Phase is a magnetic multichrome that shifts from a red toned purple to red to bright pink to gold to green to copper to peach. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Solar Flair is a fiery one and one of my top picks. This is a magnetic multichrome that shifts from gold to yellow to hot orange and red. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Let’s Do Launch
Let’s Do Launch is my #1 pick of this collection. I absolutely LOVE the colors and the magnetic effect on this one! Let’s Do Launch is a multichrome magnetic that shows bronze to soft peach to pink to lime green to grass green. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Thrust Issues is a magnetic multichrome that shifts yellow to gold to orange. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
You Rocket My World
You Rocket My World is a magnetic multichrome that shifts from shades of green to lavender to silver. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Spaced Out is a magnetic multichrome that shows off shifts of blue to purple to pink to green. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Orbits And Pieces
Orbits and Pieces is a magnetic duochrome that shifts purple to magenta pink. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
No Comet is a magnetic duochrome that shifts from a glorious deep blue to purple. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
A Star Is Formed
A Star Is Formed is a holographic topper that is loaded with micro holo flakes for a starry filled sky effect. It goes amazing over any of the shades above to add a bit of a twinkle to your galaxy manicure! I used 1 coat over No Comet for these photos.
This is the magnet I used for all of the above photos. It comes in a paddle that you can use to hover over your polish, but Jenne from Polish Pathology suggested popping it out of the paddle, so that’s what I did. Her review is linked to her name, so pop over and check her review out as well!
I also got some great tips from Delanie from FatCatPawlished since she’s a little more versed in magnetics than I am (she even FaceTime’d me to help out!)
KBShimmer Launch Party Collection
Magnetics are definitely fun to play with and I think this is an awesome start to a whole new look! I had no application issues, but I do find the magnet has a slight learning curve to get the clear, crisp line. I do like the effect I got though when trying!
For a limited time you can grab all 9 shades plus the magnet and a multichrome bag for $90.00 on the KBShimmer site.
