It feels like it’s been a LONG time since I did a KBShimmer review, but I know the last collection they launched I had to pass on because I was in the process of moving. I think it was the first collection in 8 years that I wasn’t able to do. So we’re back now with KBShimmer! I have the All The Fall Things Collection and Halloween 2020 Trio to share tonight!
I am still adjusting to the new place and having a bit more room to move in my swatch area. Now that I’m settled a bit, I started moving lighting around and all – so things are slightly different in this setup. At the old place my swatch station was cramped, and here I have a lot of room. A lot. So bear with me while I mess with things for a bit.
Later today (it’s 2am here) KBShimmer is launching their All The Fall Things and Halloween Trio, as well as a new tri level cuticle oil! I have them all here to share… so let’s take a look.
KBShimmer | Glazed & Confused
Glazed & Confused is a pale grey tinged white crelly base with green to rose gold to gold to blue shifting flakes, as well as a subtle sprinkle of holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
KBShimmer | Bittersweet Symphony
Bittersweet Symphony is a light taupe crelly base with gold to red shifting shimmer, as well as crimson and orange glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I did have a lot of glitters stuck to the side of my bottle (as you can clearly see) however there was still a good amount floating in the bottle.
KBShimmer | Slay Cozy
Slay Cozy is a medium-dark burnt orange linear holographic. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
KBShimmer | Quantum Leaf 2020
Quantum Leaf 2020 brings back good memories! Fall of 2012 was the first time I swatched for KBShimmer, and the original Quantum Leaf was 1 of the 4 polishes she had sent. Here we are 8 years later and still working together.
Quantum Leaf 2020 is a dusty yellow crelly base with red, copper, gold and orange glitters ranging from micro to medium sizes, as well as scattered holo mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
KBShimmer | Thyme On My Hands
Thyme On My Hands is a medium olive green creme. It’s lighter and dustier than my photos show though – so I do suggest looking up more swatches of this one. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
KBShimmer | Fully Booked
Fully Booked is a medium-dark, dusty olive green linear holographic. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Initially I thought this shade was deep grey with gold shimmer and holo. Then when I applied it, I had to look again because suddenly it looked greenish. It’s a beautiful shade and I think the holo flame messes with the perceived color at times.
KBShimmer | Washed Up
Washed Up is a dusty navy blue crelly base with copper and navy glitters mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
KBShimmer | Eyes On The Pies
Eyes On The Pies is a deep purple jelly base loaded with pink to fuchsia to orange to gold shifting flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
Despite the flake content, this didn’t have much texture when it dried down.
KBShimmer | Foreseeable Fuchsia
Foreseeable Fuchsia is a fuchsia jelly base with strong blue shimmer, as well as red and pink flakes mixed in. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
KBShimmer | Coulda Had A Bad Witch
Coulda Had A Bad Witch is part of the Halloween trio! This is a grape purple base with green to aqua flakes, as well as red to gold to orange flakes, and a nice subtle holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
KBShimmer | Bugs & Kisses
Bugs & Kisses is a black jelly scattered holographic base with red to gold to green color shifting flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
KBShimmer | Hey There Pumpkin
Hey There Pumpkin is a neon orange crelly base loaded with gold to green shifting flakes and a subtle holo effect. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
KBShimmer Tri-Level Cuticle Oil
KBShimmer has a new cuticle oil out and it’s beautifully done! I love the tri-level effect.
KBShimmer Tri-Level Cuticle Oil contains three levels of moisture. This amazing cocktail for your nails and cuticles uses moisturizing oils and humectants to help rehydrate your skin and nails, including glycerin, grape seed oil, sweet almond oil and mineral oil.
Right now, it’s available in 7 scents and I selected Pink Sugar because it’s one of my favorite scents. Plus these little guys can double as fragrance if you dab a little on in a pinch. I like multiuse.
I’ve been using this for about 2 weeks and my nails certainly love it. Apply a tiny bit and it soaks in nicely. For more hydration – I slather it on and sit and watch Netflix for a bit while my nails relax in it.
KBShimmer | All The Fall Things Collection & Halloween 2020 Trio
I had no application issues with any of these shades, and my top picks are Glazed & Confused, Fully Booked, Eyes on the Pies and Coulda Had A Bad Witch… and of course the cuticle oil.
You can snag these a little later today!
