June 2019 Polish Pickup | Weather

by Lisa Heath

Press Sample of the June 2019
Polish Pickup | Weather

Well… I guess it’s that time again. This whole month of May threw me off with school ending and all the fun stuff that comes with it. It’s now time for the June 2019 Polish Pickup Weather themed post!

At the time of starting this post – I have 73 individual listings to share. My USPS Informed Delivery says I have 16 packages arriving tonight and another 12 tomorrow and 4 on Monday. It’s possible there’s a straggler in there, so if there is I will add it into this post once photos are done.

The theme this month is Weather! This is the theme I wanted to win when I saw the voting going on, so I was really excited about it. The makers did not disappoint, but the assortment I got does lean heavily in the blue/purple/green/grey category colorwise.

As usual, if there’s a particular polish you came to look at and don’t want to scroll through everything – hit CTRL + F if you are on desktop and search the brand name.

June’s Shop opens on June 7th and will be open for Wishlisting on June 2nd-ish.

Description: This is a trio Travel Lip Kit that includes glossy balm, lip scrub and anti-aging balm. This makes your lips SO incredibly soft. It just arrived at my house yesterday and I only used it once and MAN what a difference it makes!

The Glossy Bella Balm (pink jar) is a creamy and silky balm gloss with hydrating oils. It can also be used on cuticles or anywhere you have dry skin. Apply in a thin protective layer. Jar is 10g

The Hydrating Lip Scrub (my favorite) is scented in pineapple and tangerine and it’s made without water so it’s full of oils that act as a protective layer so you don’t damage your healthy skin while scrubbing off the dead skin cells. The grit is a fine sugar, so it’s not a rough lip scrub. You also don’t need to wash it off! Simply wipe with a tissue or napkin. Since it’s not a drier scrub, the sugar also won’t fall off and crumble everywhere. Jar is 10g.

Last up is the Anti-Agin Balm. This comes in a cute little sample size and is scented with Pineapple and Tangering to match the Lip Scrub. You can use this in place of the Bella Balm or put it in your pocket to use as often as desired throughout the day. This little balm comes in a small tube and is 1.5g

Description: This month’s sugar scrub is scented with a custom blended pumpkin spice latte scent! It smells delicious and makes me want one! Stella Chroma Sugar Scrub is a small grit sugar scrub perfect for hands and feet. The oils leave your hands baby soft too.

Ingredients: Sugar (Sucrose), Sweet Almond Oil (Prunus amygdamus dulcis), Apricot Kernel Oil (Prunus armeniaca), Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii), Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth 20, Beeswax, Tocopherol, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Clycol, Fragrance Oil

Price: $5.50 | No Cap

STELLA CHROMA | Who Is The Drizzle?

Inspiration: Master Shake from Aqua Teen Hunger Force’s super hero alter ego.

Description: Who Is The Drizzle? is a white crelly base with gold holo glitter, pink to gold to yellow ultrachrome chameleon flakes and grass green shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

In person the base color appears slightly more hazy and greyish than my photos show. The lighting made the white crelly base stand out more.

Price: $12.00 | No Cap

Supernatural Lacquer | Parhelion

Inspiration: Parhelions, also known as “sundogs”, are a pair of brightly color spots of light or “mock suns” which appear in a halo affect around the sun. They are caused by sunlight filtering through a thin cloud of hexagonal ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere.

Description: Parhelion is a light and airy periwinkle blue base with orange to green to gold chameleon glitters, dark purple colorshift flakes, large particle holo dust and a copper to gold shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. I also included a couple photos showing it over a black creme!

Price: $12.00 | Cap: 280 Bottles

Sweet Heart Polish | Cotton Candy Clouds

Inspiration: A gorgeous sunset with flashes of pink and gold in blue clouds

Description: Cotton Candy Clouds is a slate blue crelly with red to gold shifting aurora shimmer and gold sparks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Price: $10.00 | Cap: 70 Bottles

The Crafty Taco | Eventide Rose Gold Bangle

Inspiration: A slightly suggestive photograph of a stormy sunset over the Monterey Bay in California

Description: This is an elegant rose gold open bangle with 2 handpainted glass cabochons. Each cabochon is painted with 6 different indie and mainstream polishes.

Bangle is approximately 7 inches in circumference and is light weight. Bangle is stainless steel.

Price: $10.00 | Cap: 30 Bangles

The Lady Varnishes | Make It Rain

Inspiration:  Money

Description: Make It Rain is a sage green crelly base with orange to green shimmer and glitters, as well as green to blue shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Price: $12.50 | Cap: 130 Bottles

The Soapy Chef | Practicing My Wheeeeee! Scrub

Inspiration: This snow scrub is inspired by one of my favorite shows, Bob’s Burgers. This episode shows an epic battle over control of the only sledding hill in town.

Description: Practicing My Wheeeeee! Scrub is a gentle exfoliating hand and nail scrub. The scrub in the jar is actually dry, so just remove the desired amount, add a little water and it emulsifies and lathers up a little and then scrub away! Leaves hands and nails super smooth.

The scent is slightly earthy with a minty kick.

Ingredients: baking soda, soy wax, coconut oil, avocado oil, citric acid, fragrance oil

Price: $8.50 | No Cap

Top Shelf Lacquer | I’m Only Happy When it Rains

Inspiration: Song “I’m only happy when it rains” by band Garbage

Description: I’m Only Happy When It Rains is a cool minty green crelly base with iridescent shifting flakes, shimmer and glass flecks. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This shade is not this “bright” in person and is just slightly more toned down.

Price: $13.00 | No Cap

Twisting Nether Lacquer | Lost Ions

Inspiration: Solar storm hitting Mars

Description: Lost Ions is a black jelly base filled with red to green aurora shimmer, green to teal to blue crystal flakes, gold crystal flakes, ultra fine gold galaxy glitters and a touch of holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Price: $12.00 | Cap: 100 Bottles

Zombie Claw Polish | Riding the Morning Glory

Inspiration: the clouds called Morning Glory which is a rare meteorological phenomenon consisting of low level atmospheric solitary wave and associated cloud.

Description: Riding the Morning Glory is a white crelly base with micro rainbow flakes, blue to purple shimmer, sky blue micro matte glitters and pink to gold to green flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Price: $11.50 | Cap: 75 Bottles

So many pretties this month… but the one I’m looking forward to the most? Hurricane Realness… it’s stunning!

If Moonflower is participating I have to show sisterly love and get it, but other than that, my other must have is definitely Hazy Bit of Light!

I have been wanting this theme since I first discovered Polish Pickup last year. There are so many items that I want. For my #1 purchase, it would have to be the Polished For Days – Dawn to Dusk.

I can only choose one must-have?? That would probably be Helmholtz My Beer! I love me some neon/bright polishes.

By the way I love your blog! It’s my absolute favorite. I come to see your swatches to decide if I should buy a color or not. Thank you for all the time you invest for us! We appreciate it!

There are so many beautiful polishes here but I think my must have is the Morning Glory from Zombie Claw polish. I have so many polishes but the white jelly base with flakes and sky blue glitter one will be something different for my collection! :)

KBshimmer – What Does This Mean? is one of many that caught my interest this month. Also interested to try Baroness X acetone antidote.

I’m definitely getting the Pahlish and Bees Knees. I’m trying to decide my third (personal monthly limit) between Rogue and Zombie Claw.
