It’s a new year and here’s my first Hella Handmade Creations post for 2022!

I have 16 items to share for my Hella Handmade Creations January 2022 post. There’s a nice mix of colors, finishes and 2 non polish items to share.

For the fine details – for all photos shown – I used Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues Peel Off Base, Sweet & Sour Lacquer Gloss Sauce . I purchased the Vapid Lacquer Commitment Issues, Sweet & Sour Lacquer gifted me their Gloss Sauce.

I do use artificial lighting for my photos. I get the most done at night, so I swatch a lot at night. My current setup uses GlamCor Pro LIghts and I use the Ultra X Model and this Daylight Company Duo Daylight Lamp (affiliate link).

Atomic Polish | Guy In The $3000 Suit

Theme: Arrested Development

Description: Guy in the $3000 Suite is a rusty brown crelly base with red to gold to green shifting shimmer and scattered holo pigment. I used 2 coats and a glossy top cot for these photos.

Baroness X Polish | Beguiled (Reflect Glitter)

Theme: Words Starting with the Prefix Be-

Description: Beguiled is a teal jelly base with blue and chartreuse flakes, gold holo micro glitters and reflective glitter. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This does dry with a mild texture so you may need 2 coats of top coat to smooth.

Baroness X Polish | Beguiled Xpress Drying Spray

Theme: Words Starting with the Prefix Be-

Description: Xpress Drying Spray is a fine mist that you spray over your finished mani to help speed out the outer layer dry time. You can only use this on the final layer of polish.

This product contains ingredients that bond with the solvents in nail polish to help them evaporate faster, namely disiloxane. This is the ingredient that evaporates and bonds with solvents the fastest of all the silicones in drying products. Drying products that do not contain this ingredient, won’t dry your nails nearly as quickly as Xpress Drying Spray. Baroness X also added camellia and jojoba oil to help hydrate skin and cuticles at the same time as drying.

Beguiled Xpress Drying Spray is a green and fresh scent of champaca blooms, fresh fern leaf, muguet and gardenia.

This is definitely green and fresh and the fern scent is what my nose picks up quickly with a slight undertone of gardenia.

Bee’s Knees Lacquer | The Wild Man (Reflect Glitter)

Theme: American Horror Story

Description: The Wild Man is an aqua based pastel multichrome that goes from aqua to blue to purple with silver reflect glitter. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

This dries down with a mild texture, so you may need 2 coats of top coat for a smooth finish.

Description: Best Budgies is a pale lavender to icy medium blue shifting base loaded with shattered holo. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Description: Adora-saur-able is a soft pastel pink crelly base with subtle blue shimmer, as well as holographic silver and red flakes. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The base would also be a beautiful stand alone color if Timberlin ever decided to release it. *cough* hint hint

Description: Troika is a clear base loaded with a rainbow assortment of flakes, black flakes and holographic micro glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Description: Trapped Disco is a light coral tinged orange jelly base with crystal chameleon flakes that flash gold, green, aqua, blue, red and orange as well as gold and silver reflective micro glitters. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

Red Eyed Lacquer | Da Balm-er

Theme:

Description: Da-Balmer is a cross between a balm and body butter. It’s creamy like a body butter but has a more emollient feel like a balm would. It’s an intensive treatment you can use anywhere (I love it on cuticles of course) but a little goes a long way. If you use too much – it will feel very oily (like a balm would) so start with a little and build up if you need more.

Official description of the January scent (Mai Oh Tai) orange peel, hints of sparkling rose, mandarin oil, hints of cognac, Keitt mango, pineapple, papaya, clear musk, Haitian vetiver.

This is one of those clean, slightly fruity, effervescent like scents. When you sniff it – you can almost feel the little bubbles (weird but … you know what I’m talking about) like from a sparkling wine or Sprite like drink. It’s light on the fruit but my nose picks up the pineapple and orange most. Very nice scent if you like clean fruity and sparkling.

Red Eyed Lacquer | Stop In The Name Of Jaw (Thermal & Glow In The Dark)

Theme: Glowing Animals/Bioluminescent

Description: Stop In The Name Of Jaw is a dusty almost mauve tinged red (cold) to milkyish light beige (warm) jelly base with red metallic flakes, black to red multichrome micro flakes and it glows red in the dark. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
