I’m getting ready to head to bed, but I was hoping to get a post up today! I’m currently swatching more Great Lakes Lacquer shades – so it’s only fitting that I also do a post on Great Lakes Lacquer To The Very Fires Of Mordor! This shade is part of the June Hella Handmade Creations series.

As I mentioned in my last series of posts, HHC changed things up and they are starting a new series. 12 makers are participating in the monthly customs and each brand has a theme they picked for themselves. Great Lakes Lacquer selected Lord Of The Rings as inspiration!

Great Lakes Lacquer’s first polish in this series is based on Bilbo’s going away party. The name is taken from his speech. For her second polish,  we saw You Shall Not Pass which is a stunning neutral! Tonight we’re looking at To The Very Fires of Mordor.

Let’s take a look!

Great Lakes Lacquer To The Very Fires Of Mordor

Great Lakes Lacquer To The Very Fires Of Mordor is an emerald green jelly filled with holo micro flake, shimmer shifting from green to gold to blue with iridescent flake that highlights the blue and green shifts. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.

The depth is incredible with this shade, and I could have gotten away with 2 normal to heavy coats, but I wanted more flakes and more depth.
