Good morning and Happy Sunday! I can’t believe the weekend is almost over. I fully intended for this post to be up yesterday, but when Jacob asked if we could go see Jumanji – I was all for it. So we were out and about most of yesterday. I remember going to see the original Jumanji in theaters (I was in the 8th grade) so seeing the new one with my son was kind of fun. Anyways, this morning I have the Glisten & Glow Birthday Duo & January 2018 Glorious Glistenettes to share with you!
Every year Jill does something to celebrate her birthday on January 8th, and this year she made a gorgeous duo, which we’ll be looking at first. The Glorious Glistenettes is a monthly series that started around Black Friday and they are small batch, limited edition polishes. For the initial Glorious Glisenettes release, Jill had 3 stunning thermals. This time around we have 2 gorgeous holographics with shimmers and other added effects.
Let’s jump in! As I mentioned – the Birthday Duo is up first!
Dinner & Drinks
Dinner & Drinks is a navy blue to purple duochrome linear holographic with pink shimmers and ultrachrome chameleon flakes, as well as galaxy holographic microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I am absolutely in LOVE with this polish.
Cake & Confetti
Cake & Confetti is a garnet red to copper duochrome linear holographic with added flakes and red shimmer. I used 2 easy coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
And now we’re moving into the Glorious Glistenette shades!
After Midnight
After Midnight is a blue to purple to green multichrome linear holographic with added holographic microglitters. I used 2 coats and a glossy top coat for these photos. The added holo glitters really add a special spark to this and I adore it! Especially on my newer short nails.
Before Dawn
Before Dawn is a medium candy pink linear holographic loaded up with red to copper ultrachrome chameleon flakes and fine aqua shimmer. I used 3 thin coats and a glossy top coat for these photos.
I actually had a migraine while doing these photos and couldn’t focus my eyes (I get the colorful splotches in my vision when a migraine hits) , so it wasn’t until after that I noticed the macros all were unusable. So I don’t have a macro shot of this one.

You really can’t go wrong with any of the polishes shown on here. Application and consistency was amazing with all 4 shades. My personal favorites were Dinner & Drinks from the Birthday Duo and After Midnight from the Glorious Glistenettes.
